It was really busy when we arrived, but we were seated with a smile, got our food nice and quick and it was delicious. The Salmon salad was apparently the best and the burgers, hunters chicken and sharing combo were all very good. Even got a free drink for downloading the app.

Had a lovely meal out with my wife here at the Roaring Donkey. Restaurant was very clean. I had sweet potato fries, salad and coleslaw for my main meal and my wife ordered omega 3 fish finger baguette and chips which came with a lovely salad. Deserts we had chocolate fudge cake and vanilla ice cream. The service was amazing throughout!

Very poor booking and greeting service extremely rude and poor manoured considering we where a party of 30 people too. My aunt called several times to secure the booking and paid ÂŁ5.00 pp deposit, and gave her mobile number as well as her landline as we where all travling from different parts of the UK for another aunts birthday surprise meal. A staff member kept calling the landline to get us in earlier then the 12.30 booked time as they had rebooked the table for 2pm. A few of us was early to decorate a bit but could not push things to be earlier and staff kept pushing us to be quick and seeing we was decorating and still not all there kept trying to get us to order. When we was all ready each family group went to the bar to order their meals, by the time I returned to the table food had started to come through. No one was asked if they wanted more drink and after the plates where taken pretty prompt some still with a lot of food on mostly empty though. We wasn't offered dessert menus not that we wanted it we had birthday cake, but wasn't even offered a knife and serviettes or coffee etc. We collected our balloons banners and cake and went elsewhere we left them a pretty table cloth though.

Found this nice Hungry Horse pub. Staff were really welcoming and polite the pub itself is clean bright and quite big. When we went the atmos was quite relaxed.A great place and the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be revisiting on my next holiday

Liam the manager was amazing while we were there for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, he was very accommodating, charming and a hit with the kids too. A great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

Been there today worst service going got a mixed grill order the steak medium come well done a sent it back to hear the kitchen staff and the guy behind the bar in the kitchen being disrespectful and talking about me and I was sitting right next to the kitchen door, they were rude when I approached them to see what was happening, threatened to be barred because they couldn’t resolve a simple problem, had a few problems with the guy behind the bar before and he seemed to have carried it on to the kitchen… Kitchen staff need to learn how to cook a steak when 70% of the menu is boiled in a bag and the only thing they need to cook properly is a steak and most their menu is steak. Will be talk to area mangers cause there people will single handed ruin a nice pub.

Waited 45 minutes for food to arrive, drinks had run out of syrup, so had to swap them at the bar, food was served stone cold, and with raw chicken and burnt tomatoes. Kids meals also cold and soggy from the microwave. Very cheap but horrendous food.

A beautifully run pub with a lovely team of staff.Free parking. Beer garden with a playground. We arrived and were told to find seating wherever we wanted, we chose inside, ordered at the bar and sat down, 10 minutes later out lovely sharer starter arrived. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. The menu catered for all of our party, including a vegetarian. The meal sizes were very generously sized and we ended up taking two boxes of food home with us. We got a good deal on the burgers as we went on a Friday (Fridays deal is when you buy a burger, the second one is free). Our mains came a respectable time after we finished the starter. We had to go up to the bar to order more drinks, but there was never a que and we were served very quickly. The only problem we had with the establishment was the toilets. It was very disappointing as the rest of the restaurant was gorgeous. But the toilets were not clean, did not smell good and made us feel a bit unwell.I've still rated it 5 stars as the actual restaurant was perfect and we will be attending again (we will just wait till we get home to use the loo)
