John's Fish Bar in Tendring

Really lovely place. We ate in and service was wonderful. It's bar but staff brought dishes to table on warmed plates. Very fresh and tasty fish and chips. Huge portions.

Really great fish and chips, the outside doesn’t look much and it’s not right on the seafront however the food is top notch, fresh and really good. Thank you, we’ll be back next time we’re in town

Overall a very nice bit of fish and chips. I came with my family during the late afternoon, ordered quite a lot and it came to a reasonable price compared to the pricing back home. The quality of the fish and chips were really good, bar being a bit oily when we unwrapped them. Regardless, the large cod was truly large and so were the chips. Both perfectly cooked and still piping hot after the walk to the beach.A local seagull also decided to sample the food too, which I believe that it marked quite highly!Will definitely return next time I'm in Clacton!

Fish cooked fresh when we ordered. Decent size portions. Also had a sausage in batter, not covered in grease and piping hot

I dont know how did they get them stars.Some people has so low expectations and dont care what their money is spent on.Batter on my cod was so soggy of oil that I had to scrape it off. Avarage chips.Fair portions thats why I gaved 2 stars

First time customers of John's Fish bar. The food was excellent and generous. If Clacton was where I lived, John's is where I would go. Great batter, perfect chips. Thanks to the team working there. Who are all lovely.
