Best fish and chip shop in Brightlingsea by a reasonable distance. Great at fish and chips, brilliant pizzas and kebabs are brilliant as well. Can seem a little expensive for some things and only reason it doesn't get 5 stars. Love a visit a couple of times a month!

Ordered and delivered within 15 minutes so excellent delivery time. Sadly the food didn't live up to the speed of delivery. The chips were slightly burnt and the fish was very dry. Don't get me wrong, it was edible butt sadly not the standard you would expect. Luckily there are other fish shops in Brightlingsea but I didn't want to drive after a hard day at work. Maybe I should have done

A really lovely fish and chips restaurant. Immaculately clean inside including toilet. Food was freshly cooked to order and great portion sizes. Highly recommend!

Catered well for Coeliacs daily Not had such fresh Plaice and Chips in years since diagnosed! Good general selection of fish or non-fish dishes including all day breakfast for those not gluten free

Found Mac's by chance on an evening drive out. Brilliant place friendly staff nice and clean and comfortable to eat in as we did. The fish and chips were the best we've had for a few years, will definitely go back when we're in Essex again.

Slightly overcooked fish and coke flat as a pancake as it must have been decanted from a large plastic bottle, £10 for medium cod is more than London prices, come back Johnny mac

Meg got F&C for us here on two occasions. The portion sizes are amazing. Both Fish and Chips are beautifully presented and taste good. If I could personally seek an improvement it would be to not have the batter so well cooked or cooked in such warm oil.

It was all a bit OK... price was high (in my opinion). Chips tasted nice but no salt and vineger on them, even though I did ask when ordering. Fish was quite crispy, which worked in our favour as there were no chip forks in the bag (to be fair I didnt check before leaving shop..) It did all come well wrapped, and the boxes for the fish and chips is far better than the trays they give in some places.

Top fish and chips. Lovely food, with plenty of seating inside with aircon for hot days. Has a massive fish tank for keeping kids amused. Brilliant service and lovely people who bring out food really quickly. Worth the visit if you fancy fish and chips and want to eat there and not take home.
