Feel this place is going downhill. Spitfire is cloudy and vinegary. Last time we sat in the smelly garden between the toilet and kitchen listening to extractor fans and air conditioners. Probably won't come again.

Popped into The Lock & Barrel before going for a Curry next door, great service from a lovely couple of younger people. We were looking at the unusual wording on the ceiling, which the young lady explained was the name of the original shop on this site. Would highly recommend and we'll be going back. πŸ‘

First time in this pub. I just popped in for a quick lunch. The welcome was very friendly from all the team and they took my order and poured my drink super quickly. The food arrived quickly and was very nicely presented. It tasted great too. I had the mushroom Stroganoff and I'd definitely recommend it.If you are passing this way you you give this place a try.

Food always good. Staff really friendly and lovely. Only downside was it was freezing cold inside no heating appeared to be on and as it was December would expect it to be bit more toasty in there.

A Beautiful cosy little pub. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy wheelchair access with disabled toilets available and street parking just outside. There is a covered smoking area in the garden for those that want it. The food was all delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely go there again

Most times I go here their service is generally good, but today they really let themselves down and lost custom..My mum booked a table for a set time in a certain place which she thought they had sorted out. When we arrived this wasn't the case the lady told us the table we booked was taken. And when asked to find out why my mum talked to the manager whom was very rude towards my mum and explained that for some reason the person who mum phoned to make the booking booked the wrong day and time...So we left as we feel they were rude and took our custom elsewhere

A very homely feel. Staff were lovely and welcoming.A good selection of beers, wines and spirits. The food menu had a good selection, though there could have been a couple of more veggie and non-beef options. The sea-food platter was a good hit on the table, though the restaurant didn't have white bait that day. Had Fish and Chips for my mains and it was cooked very well, tartar sauce I believe was home made. There is a small beer garden to the rear. Lots of parking outside and free parking after 18:30.

Friendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating and an ok selection of beer. Opted for the smoked haddock. Was ok, but poor plating and tired looking veggies made me give this a 3 star rating rather than a 4. Would return but try something different.

Lovely place, great food and staff. Great value for money. Will definitely go back. Children have to leave by 9pm.
