Haven’t been here for a few years, but I popped in on the off chance late on a Sunday.First of all a large chips is absolutely massive, halloumi was lovely as well.Seemed very quiet so maybe that’s why it was all fresh but thoroughly enjoyed it, I would happily return.

Visited Clacton-On-Sea for the day, so many fish and chip shops to choose from. Looked around and at Google. This restaurant was recommended. The cod and chips we had was as good as I have ever had. Good service and great food, will definitely be back.Brian

Saw reviews. So decided to take my family there. The food was amazing. Small cod and chips was actually not small very tasty. Daughter had rock and chips also very fresh and tasty. Grandchildren had the childrens meal comprising of small cod and chips and cheese burger and chips. They ate all of it. The other big grandchild had kebab and chips. He said was delicious. all plates were finished. Great place to sit in.

Looked for sit in fish & chips for my wife & I...decided on M & A fish bar as reviews were good....not disappointed....the staff were very welcoming and polite, everywhere was clean, service very good and the cod & chips with mushy peas for me with curry sauce for my wife were absolutely delicious. If you want somewhere to go for fish & chips in Clacton this is the place. Excellent. Thank you.

Firstly when we managed to get there, we were treated with consideration in choosing our food(despite it being near closing time! We hadn't realised as it was such a stressful day today.) When the Food came it was LOVELY. We had Chicken Shish with Salad, Dad had Chips with his, I had Pitta Bread. The Chicken tasted lovely and was well cooked, you could taste a nice delicate seasoning with it. I also enjoyed the pickled Peppers! I HAD to ask them what the dressing was that they used in the salad, it reminded me of a Cider vinegar. I was wrong! It was called Pomegranate Sauce. I enjoyed the whole, fully recommend and will if Dad is able to go, go there again.For the Home delivery, they are good as well. 45 min wait, not like somewhere else had to wait an hour! Dad and I wasn't well enough to cook Dinner. Also shattered with a Family emergency which we still have to deal with.They gave us plenty Chips, the Fish was well cooked, not dried out and pasty. The Batter was crispy. Thank you!

One of the best value fish and chips meals I’ve ever had! This is the result of ordering the “budget” fish and chips meal (definitely not budget), with a soft bread roll and mushy peas. Delivered hot and fresh, it was just so delicious. Plus the locals who clearly frequent here for a reason make it such a fantastic dine-in experience. Highly recommended when you’re in need for a great fish and chips with great service!

Difficult to know where to take your fish and chip custom in a place like Clacton with so much choice.So let me save you the bother of having to search the internet and trudge round seeing they're mostly closed.Go here.Superb, delicious and enormous portions with tip top friendly service and a cozy seated area tucked away from the counter. It was so good I completely forgot to take pictures of the food. Yes really. What more could you possibly want? A lollipop? Have one of those too, then. Outstanding.

Have been here afew times, portions are very generous. Very friendly service, everything is freshly fried and from what I see alot of the locals came here,.Will be visiting this fish bar everytime l am in the area.
