My Big Fat Greek Taverna in Tendring

Ordered the £30 per person meze.. omg .. soooo much food.. 4 courses.. had to ask for a doggy bag..Amazing service as well

UNDERCOOKED RAW MEAT - WE DO NOT ADVISE EATING HERE!!See photos. I have reported this venue to the food standards agency.Not a good lunch experience, the sausage wasn't cooked on the plate and was raw inside after my wife had eaten it. We almost gave it to our 1 year old child, thank god we didnt. Waitress offered us 10 or 20% off the meal intially. When the bill came we were given a very generous £2.00 off. I felt sorry for our lovely waitress. The gutless manager gave her all the difficult messages to deliver and it was clear she felt awkward.The food overall wasnt good value, an absolute joke for £20 a dish (see photos). Considering the children's dish cost £5 and amounts to half of what a £16 dish cost, this place comes across as an absolute rip off.In any case, serving raw meat is a sign of poor standards and the attitude to resolve this was frankly poor.

Great staff. Ladies and her colleagues were there and very apologetic when we had to get the rice replaced. Beetroot salad tasted great...didnt look great but looks are very deceiving here. The pink and blue and green neon lights with drapes of fake flowers definitely made me apprehensive.Moussaka was lovely. Seabass tasted great, bit confused they removed the main bone section but left any other bone in.Aside from the staff being the highlight, the baklava martini.....WOW... definitely a signature cocktail for you guys. Wish I can say the same for the espresso martini.

Wonderful atmosphere and the surroundingswere gorgeous. Fantastic staff - everyone was helpful, friendly and accommodating. Delicious food. Will recommend to my friends. The cocktails were delicious too!

Service was initially good from the gentleman at the front but then after that not much contact we had to flag down different people for more drinks, starters were nice as we're the mains but I think for the price and what you get on the mixed grill it could be more substantial maybe come with some dips and things, shame about the dessert we wanted to try Baklava but they didn't have any so chose another and didn't have that either so just opted for the bill, I felt sorry for the guy having to tell us twice they didn't have what we wanted 😬

We had a lovely meal here this evening with great food and amazing decor but ordered the Baklava dessert at the end which I was really looking forward to and it was miniscule, even to the point that the guests on the opposite table commented. It was certainly not worth the £6 that was charged although it tasted amazing just the size was the issue. I did take this up with two waiters but nothing was done and I was told that is how it is served. However after contacting the manager after the meal great help and effort was made to put this issue right hence why we leave a five star review. Many thanks.

I attended this restaurant for my mother in law’s wedding this Monday and I was absolutely mesmerised by the staff. So gentle and friendly, lovely service, very welcoming. I cannot recommend this enough. We had an amazing time and the restaurant looks absolutely spectacular. Well done to owners, we will definitely come back for a family meal soon.

The meal was nice, the service was good , a good evening all round. Will go back again.

Lots of changes, the place improved amazingly. Great cuisine also.

While visiting Clacton-on-Sea, some friends and I with our children pre-booked this lovely restaurant. There was about 12 of us. The staff were very friendly. Our food came quite quickly once ordered. The calamari was tasty, the chops were cooked perfectly and beautifully seasoned. The portion size for the children's meal were good and great value for money.
