Naze Tower in Tendring

I just saw the tower from outside, I'm not up to all those steps these days. Still, a remarkable landmark with some interesting history behind it and a good walk either along the beach (do check the tide times first!) or along the top of the cliffs. Quite a few old bits of WW2 concrete scattered about too. There's a decent tea room and an Essex Wildlife Trust information centre for, surprise surprise, more information.

This was a childhood memory. It was fantastic to see there is a wildlife reserve here now with free entry. The Wildlfe Trust also haveca visitor centre and have clean loos, a handy little cafe doing great bacon butties as well as displays and exhibitions about what you can find. The bacon rolls and coffee were very welcome.The Tower itself is seen for miles around and great viewscarecafforded from the top with a minimal entry charge. A great place to stop and chill.

A fantastic piece of preserved history, with great views, and wonderful artwork. If you're in the area it is definitely worth a visit.

Have visited the naze so many times and been meaning to climb the tower and today was the day my partner and I finally made it. What an absolutely amazing place it is. The two ladies who sell tickets and run the cafe are really friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The tower is an interesting and historically interesting place in itself and is in really good condition. The art displays are beautiful pieces by very skilled artists. Then there's the view from the top which in itself makes every step of the climb worthwhile. We are members for a year and I can't wait to go back again.

I love this place, although my wife and I live 50 miles away, the journey, whatever the weather is worth it. To have coffee and cake at this friendly venue is never disappointing. It is sad when they have to close during the winter months, so we’re looking forward to the spring.

This is a SSSI which is is Site of Special Scientific Interest, and I have to say I can see why. The cliff at the bottom looks fabulous, you can see all the different layers of rock and soil stacked on top of each other. There is a great walk that you can take along the cliffs to see them fully. You can also climb to the top of the tower to enjoy the view, and buy at cup of tea at the new visitor centre. Overall this is a great place to come to for a day.

I never been to any tower before this one. It was like a Disney Castle tower with a spiral stairs way up to the top. And every floor has a little museum from where you can also buy the decoration pieces. From the top you can have the wide view of the sea and the surrounding city. Though coming down was bit of a scary for me 😅😅😅.

Excellent views from the top in every direction. Some lovely art exhibitions on every floor as you climb the spiral staircase. Well worth the climb and a fine cafe after your descent. A fine building with a long and interesting history.

Walked along the cliff, really nice view out to the sea and then went down to the beach. Really loved this one. I liked how they have left part of it natural, so no barriers just beach! Makes for a really nice walk! It's interesting to see how it's all eroding away. Found a few fossils too (twigs!).

Just got to say a family ticket is x2 adults and x4 children, 😊. That's really kind. The team there were friendly and happy in their work, best coffee and good cake too. The view is amazing from the top, a little narrow to get up and down but well worth it. The kids didn't even moan. And even found a sharks tooth on the beach!
