Oakwood Inn in Tendring

Excellent food would easily recommend. Great service and staff are superb. Toilets are clean, plenty of parking with a large area. Good out door seating area. Food is top notch and been back many a times.

Me and Dad went in there and had one of their Specials 'Meat Lasagne with Salad and Chips'. It was really lovely! Hot and well cooked. The Chips were crispy but not overcooked! I am not usually a fan of Lasagne, but I really liked this one!! The Service was good too, we were shown to a table as soon as we went in. The setting I loved! It was cozy and welcoming! Dark Oak round tables with comfortable carver type chairs. Oak beams in the ceiling. It may not suit everyone's taste if they like a more modern setting. But we loved it! Would like to come again when Dad can take me, Dad was impressed as well. Fully recommend it!!

Excellent service. Nice food from an extensive menu. Lots of home made food. Large seating area. Average prices. Only downside is they do not accept telephone or online bookings.

We can't praise this pub enough. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent. They are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We visited on two consecutive days and each time the food was excellent.
