Prezzo - Clacton-on-Sea in Tendring

Decided to eat here due to the reviews and now we felt we made a mistake.The server for some reason couldn’t / wouldn’t take my drinks and food order at the same time and their attitude wasn’t great, 5 mins later they came round full of sunshine and rainbows and introduced themselves and took our order all while over-sharing how her day was going and talking about themselves.The food was bland and tasteless and the cocktails were just overpriced fruit drinks because they weren’t made well. The food didn’t taste bad it just didn’t taste of anything much.We paid and left a tip and were asked to leave a review. We mentioned the food was bland and the servers attitude changed again and the sunshine and rainbow friendliness evaporated.I would’ve been fine with the service as it wasn’t bad but like everything else with this experience it wasn’t good, the food was just like cardboard. I wished I had eaten somewhere else and had fish & chips at one of the many places on the seafront instead.

Usual range of pizza and pasta. Starter of Calamari was great - they must have changed the recipe as don't recall it being this good. Nice location on sea front in Clacton. Light and airy dining space with attentive servers. Didn't need to book for Saturday lunch was able to walk straight in.

Food is always nice and the staff . The place could do with a bit of TLC . Cleaning , upgrading stained crockery

Not our best experience at prezzos,on arrival we were told that the table was not booked under that name ,then that it was booked at a different time , even though we gave them a pre order, 2 people had to wait for there mains ,and 2 had to change there desserts ,we also thought the size of some of the starter's were a lot smaller than previous times ,ie garlic bread

This was the garlic bread with cheese that was sent to me . Under cooked . They blamed Uber and told me to get a refund from them , but they are the 1s who cooked the food .

We ordered 2 main dishes and 2 sidesWe received 2 mains but 1 was served cold and we only received 1 sideThe cold main went back and when that was received back (hot) plus the side dish that'd been asked for atleast 3 times (this must've taken atleast 45 minutes to sort out)Also ordered a medium house white wine (250ml) that turned up unchilled and way short of 250mlPlus when we received the bill it included 2 coffees that we never ordered!!All in all the food was presented and tasted great but the whole experience was poor

Had dinner there this evening, ordered lasagne after bout ¼ of the way through, I noticed a black hair in it, so told waitress and she sent it back and ordered me another one, by the time it arrived my partner had finished his meal. A couple of mouthfuls into the second lasagne it was stone cold in the middle. Didnt want to try for a third time so just wanted to leave at this point. The staff weren't really that helpful either about it, just said they were short staffed, still had to pay for my partners meal even though he had to eat alone

Lovely staff. Salmon pasta dish was a bit too oily for me but food generally very nice at Prezzo's as always. Shame that the mini dessert & coffee deal wasn't on the menu- Corporate decisionI guess?. Lovely staff, very quick & courteous. Well done you. X

Absolutely wonderful service from the staff, service was quick and food was delicious, highly recommend if you're in the area.
