Raj Pavillion in Tendring

We had a takeaway from the Raj pavilion tonight. Tasty food. Quick delivery. Enjoyed by all.

I ordered from here on Sunday. I made the mistake of ordering via Uber and won't make that mistake again. I screwed up and even though they tried to deliver and because of my own fault the delivery got missed, they still ordered another cab to ensure we got our food, which is consistently amazing. Highly recommend.

Pretty quiet so service was good. Excellent grub but two issues: No spicy dip with the poppadoms and my Rogon Josh wasn't very tomato-y! It was still nice though.

Nice Indian restaurant... I usually order lots of the vegetarian side dishes consisting of daal, sag paneer, chickpeas etc and it's nice...

Usually excellent, but they recently gave the driver the wrong receipt for somewhere on the other side of town. When I rang the restaurant, they said they would make me a fresh meal, but the driver turned up 10 minutes later with the cold meal. I rang the shop again, and was told they would give me a full refund. When this didn't arrive, I twice messaged them via their website but they just ignored my messages. Very poor customer service, and I won't be ordering from there again until they sort this out.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Our whole table had a different curry each and we all said how tasty and full of flavour our meals were. 100% recommend and can’t wait to go back!

We have been coming to the raj for a few years now, we have 2 indian restaurant where we live but the food is not even close, can honestly say we have never had a bad meal or take away. The chicken is so well cooked and juicy unlike most Indians where it is so dry. The portions are excellent and the service is second to none, we go on Tuesdays where the do a deal of starter, main, poppadoms ,rice or nan bread and baileys £12.95 and such a good deal. Would highly recommend

Had takeaway last night and it was amazing! I’m usually very fussy when it comes to Indian food but I went for the traditional chicken curry and it was exceptional. So much flavour, the portion size was great and service was incredible also. Will definitely choose here next time :)

It’s one of the nicest curries I’ve ever had, it’s absolutely wickkked and I wish I could have it delivered to Cardiff - And great staff as well! Magic sound. Go on Tom.yeah amazing curry, amazing curry - TomWe’ve got an Indian friend back home in Cardiff, she does her own cooking but that’s on par with that - seriously. honestly she’s called Narinja. Magicckkk sound. Thanks very much
