Where is Robert Berre?

🏠 183 Burrs Rd, Clacton-on-Sea CO15 4LH

"The Robert Burre is a beautiful pub & restaurant located in Burrs Road, which is just 2.5 miles from Clacton town center. It has a good sized car park which means parking is no problem. The pub is run mostly by the family, plus Head Chef, Kieran and long time barperson Charlie. This gives the Burre an atmosphere you can't find in a chain pub/restaurant. The pub serves food from 1pm until 9pm where you can have an informal snack in the bar or a hearty meal in the restaurant. If you have dogs, please bring them along as the Burre is dog friendly. The Burre has a pool table and dart board. There is regular weekend live entertainment, and three TV's that show popular sporting events. check our website or Facebook page for details."

Nice place for a beer if you have your children or your dog with you. I have only give it 2 stars because service and food is not good.

·

Lovely pub, don't expect 'spoons prices, but a lovely, local, atmospheric pub, none the less. Dog friendly, makes this a great destination for canine owners!

The new owners George and Vicky are so lovely and have really turned this pub around. It has a real family feel and is dog friendly. They also do pool competitions on a Sunday and there will even be some animals for the children to come and see soon, I can’t wait to see the llamas. They also do amazing food. The staff are also brilliant, especially the lovely Charlie and nothing is too much. There is also music and karaoke by the amazing Frank at the weekends. Come and give them ago, you won’t regret it.

Had my father in law's funeral at this pub. Nice food and good service

Thanks to James and his great team, with a special mention to the fantastic chef, Jana. We will miss you and wish you luck in your new venture. So sorry to see you go. All the bestColin, Annette & Buddy, the German Shepherd.

Lovely local traditional pub, serving delicious home made food. Chang of management a couple of months back in my opinion for the better. Drinks reasonable, but not Witherspoon's prices, it would be nice if they were slightly cheaper but then you would end up with the Witherspoon's type clientele.

Was disappointed, had heard good things about the food, was not impressed. Pie over cooked, chips not great. Prawn cocktail bland. Can only hope the Sunday roast is as good as it looks.

If you're on holiday at Clacton, it's unlikely you'll drive near this pub as it's down the back roads. We went there following a recommendation from some kind lady we were chatting to on the caravan site. And boy,we were so glad we listened to her advice as we had a lovely meal there with the landlord and Lucy the waitress as well as the czech lady chef all made us feel like friends over for dinner and not just customers. Thank you all at the Robert Burre.

Down-at-Heel Country PubWith its large garden area, this used to be one of the nicest places to relax on sunny Sunday afternoons back in the day. These days, however, the Robert Burre looks more than a little tired and careworn. Service is indifferent at best, though the quality of the beer does not seem to have suffered. The bar area is dingy and in need of refurbishment, and the restaurant, though clean, looks more than a little tired. It's a shame. This really used to be a nice place, but I'm not coming back anytime soon.
