Robin Hood in Tendring

This place is a gem. I'm surprised the rating is not 5 out of 5.The design of the place is so nice and cozy. Could not stop looking around, it was absolutely gorgeous.Food was amazing - ordered a chicken schnitzel and meat was so soft and delicious. The size of the portion was perfect. The order was ready quickly.Staff is really friendly and helpful.I arrived with my dog and I felt really welcomed. I would highly recommend this place.

The food was amazing but the service was painfully slow. Offered one drink, our finished plates were sat on our table for 20 minutes, took an additional 10 minutes to take our dessert order, on the table behind us 3 people had eaten and gone before we left. I think we had a change of server toward the end because a really friendly (and efficient) young man gave us our bill and took our payment, it’s a shame we didn’t have him from the start as our experience would have been better.

Well where to begin. We celebrated my mum's birthday on Saturday. A party of 9. The service was excellent. Jason, Amber, Dannii and Sydney helped to make it a great success. The food was amazing. Portion size brilliant and to perfection. Friendly staff helping with everything we asked and made it a really jolly day. The serving if the birthday cake and singing with it a wonderful touch. Above and beyond my expectation. Thank you all. A great team.

The staffs at The Robin Hood are all very welcoming and friendly throughout our visits. I usually dine there 2-3 times a month and as yet have never had a poor meal or bad service. Although all the front of house staff are good Kirsty and Franky are outstanding plus another whose name I can’t recall.My only negative comment is for Vintage Inns how need to change the menu more frequently

Excellent 4 course New Year's Eve meal. Food beautifully cooked and flowerpot dessert the best I have ever had. So unusual. Will definitely return.

We attended for a special birthday but had no requests. At the end of a delicious meal the very friendly and professional staff brought out a surprise for the birthday boy. Thank you for your spectacular service.

Went on a Sunday for the carvery and opted for the trio of meats on the menu. Portion sizes were ample and price was reasonable. Didn't think much to the cauliflower side dish, neither did other members of the group. Pub itself is nice and there is a reasonable size car park. Outdoor eating spaces are also available

Lovely pub. Florin the chef, your food was exquisite. Friendly waitress with perfect service. Thank-you for the lovely meal. Definitely will be eating here again.

What a lovely place inside and outside, the staff are all friendly and nice. The food was delicious cooked to perfection, we all enjoyed our meals. I recommend this place for dining out or just drinks, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to go back.
