Saffron in Tendring

The staff at the Saffron are so helpful. They stayed on when we were very late for our booking and didn't make our group feel uncomfortable... As always the food was excellent.

Nice Indian food. Friendly people. You will feel at home. Mohammed was good host.

My husband and I had an awful experience at this restaurant tonight. We had a table booked for 7.30 we arrived at 7.20 and was shown to our table. It took 10 minutes before we were asked if we wanted popadoms and we had to ask for a drink.The poppadoms arrived and we then had to ask for our drinks again.We didn’t get asked for want we wanted to order until 8pmThe food arrived at 8.55 pmFor a table booked at 7.30 this is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for your food.When we finished eating I outlined our concern to the Manager who was very rude and would not except responsibility no apology and reasons were that they were busyWhat an earth is going on with hospitality when a manager cannot apologise for a customer outlining their dissatisfaction of waiting so long!The restaurant is not cheap and the result is that we know other restaurants in our lovely town offer such a better service. The worst part is that we stopped using this restaurant for the same reasons 6 years ago. This service is obviously acceptable for this restaurant!This is a very tame version as to what we are both feeling. Why is an apology not in this managers vocabulary?There was a table of 4 by the side of us who also felt the same wayWe are all locals should we not be working together and providing a good service where required?

Small restaurant, eat in or takeaway. We had takeaway for four people. Dissapointed in the quantity of ingrediants in the dishes. Very little meat. Peshwari nan bread was too thin and tasteless. Spent nearly £50 and they put 1 complimentry poppodom in a paper bag which needless to say was smashed into small pieces by time I got home. All the family was dissapointed. Will not be using them again.

Good atmosphere, very pleasant staff food was great.

Really unenjoyable meal.complete rip off for a small portion of meal.too much waiting.These Guys are really jokers they have replied to my email saying this order was not for 3 people,i never said it was for 3 people.it ws not enough even for one person.Pls stay away from these unprofessional people.they rip you off good and proper

Had a takeaway tonight 3-1-2022 delicious will never go anywhere else delivered on time pipping hot can’t wait till our next meal will be booking a table if I could give 10 stars would of Thank you saffron x

Great fresh food and really tasty. Was worried but so surprised!! Would go back any day!! Worth a visit!!

First time visited and Food Quality was very nice and the spices they used was authentic we like the food and services they provided. I recommend Saffron to who are looking for real Indian test in Clacton-on-Sea
