The Barn Cafe Carpenters Farm in Tendring

I booked The Barn originally for 12 people, but on the morning of our visit had to add an additional 6 people, the cafe were very understanding. When we arrived the drinks order was taken quickly, then the food order shortly after this, the service was 1st class & the food was brilliant, everybody raved about it, can't wait to visit again, thank you.

Nice venue and the food was lovely..big portions with the Sunday roast.The staff were very friendly and helpful.We were placed on a table opposite the service counter and felt pretty intimidated by the staff watching us while we ate..its a classic case of cramming in to many tables to make a profit rather than thinking about the comfort of customers.It was a shame as otherwise it was a nice visit on Mothers day.

Popped in for breakfast today and wow, it was delicious, full English and a pot of Tea with the cold wet weather outside. Lovely fresh ingredients and great quality and not overly expensive. All the staff were polite and very friendly

Delicious freshly cooked food. Amazing staff - extremely accomadating for a dairy & soy allergy child. Full roast dinner & wonderful desserts. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Thank you.

My wife and I had lunch here today, lovely bright and clean restaurant. We had Lasagna, salad and garlic bread and a huge mixed grill, not forgetting some lovely desserts.Really nice tasty food and nice friendly staff. This was our 3rd visit to The Barn and most certainly won’t be the last..a great find. 😁

My grandchildren arranged an afternoon tea for my birthday today. It was amazing and absolutely beautifully presented. There was a lot of food. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I will definitely recommend to family and friends. Well worth it. The staff are so friendly and polite.

Very, very noisy coffee machine. Lovely staff but not for me. It seems like the owner is not so friendly, sorry that you got a wee bit upset about my post. I love proper coffee and drink it in many different establishments, including my own kitchen. Please take a leaf out of your lovely staffs book, they are very friendly and very happy to help me when I needed it, disappointing answer from yourself!!

Had the Beef and Dumplings, it was amazing. Portions are HUGE!!!! Daughter had the children's spaghetti bollognese and I wouldn't have finished it! 🤣
