The Kings Arms, Frating in Tendring

Sunday morning 10.30am saw the sign breakfast served 9am till 11am so popped in for breakfast, every one of the staff were friendly and helpful in everything, when the breakfast was served i have to say it was the most tastiest food I've eaten for a long while, i would highly recommend this pub for breakfast and I'm looking forward to going again for lunch or dinner, it also has live music events so can't wait for a great night out at the king's arm's frating., Thanks and look forward for my breakfast next Sunday 😀😀😀

We came for a Sunday roast, the meat was lovely, the rest was really over cooked, very soggy veg! The dessert was lovely too and staff were great The interior could do with brightening up, quite drab inside, no atmosphire, smelt a little like your grandparents house! Like overcooked veg.

Had a lovely roast dinner here ,staff were fantastic. Even doggies friendly, highly recommend 👌 x

Had a Christmas dinner here today, (25/12/2021) and was very disappointed the service was very slow, the music was very loud couldn’t talk to family, the food was cold. Didn’t get what we paid for suppose to have mulled wine on arrival didn’t have it didn’t have pigs in blanket on our plates. When the meal came out it was cold only had 3 potatoes and 2 slices of beef. If you are thinking of going here for Christmas meal please don’t.

My first visit lasted about 5 minutes..there were two customers in bar and when we walked in we were ignored while conversation took place..in fact I don't think they even noticed we left!We tried again for lunch this time met by pleasant lady who was very attentive However sadly the microwaved lasagne was like molten lava and lacked flavour..the chips was a very poor serving. Sadly the reputation that the previous owners had will not continue I fear. We won't be back.

Nice friendly pub seems bit over priced in my eyes I had a bacon cheese burger which was £10.99 on it own or add cheeses was £11.99 and add bacon was £13.99 so an extra £ for abit of cheeses and and extra £2 for 1 piece of bacon 🤷🏻‍♂️ I didn’t find it that nice I’m afraid

Took a local community group of older people for a meal, we were looked after from start to finish. Food was lovely as were staff. Thank you, we will come back 😋😍

Great service, lovely lunch. Great value as we were there on a Tuesday and it was Buy one lunch get one free. The chips were absolutely gorgeous 😍

This place is a lovely place. I've been driving past for years and finally decided to pop in with the family and get some food. Staff were nice, polite and helpful and the beer was cold. Nice.The food on the other hand was not very good.It had a processed look and taste to it just like is had been warmed through only moments earlier. I had a spicy prawn starter that consisted of 6 prawns on top of some undressed salad without any dip.We had a roast and I had pork with crackling (a long thin pork scratching), she had beef and the trend continued.The chocolate brownie was good though but I was aware it wasn't freshly made.This place for me would be a few beers in the sun and a bit of bar grub.It's not a date night sort of place for me. It's a shame as it's got everything else going for it.
