The Railway Tavern in Tendring

What can we say Lovely to be back Superb food ,had the pork tenderloin cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely, always making us feel welcome and special. Would recommend this venue to anybody. Its our special, go to ,place .Thanks to Sophie and Shawn for my lovely birthday treat .

Popped in here on a wim last week and came back this week. Both times they did not disappoint! Really good staff, fantastic food, and a sensible price. If you are driving through, it's worth trying to pop in for a meal. We will be back again soon!

Excellent lunch, great welcoming staff who made everyone feel at home and not rushed at all. Fabulous food picture perfect and tasted fabulous. Great choice and really accommodating for any food requests or requirements. We will definitely be back soon

I can not recommend this restaurant enough! If you are looking for an all-around great experience... Lovely ambience, amazing food!!! and second to none genuine service with a heavy splash of banter. All within an 18th century vamped up building! Warm, inviting, and delicious (the food that is 😋) Thank you @ The Bicycle for making it such a lovely and memorable evening x

Absolutely delightful. I was looking for a table at a particular time - I received a call within 10 minutes of talking & a table was found.The ambiance is just perfect, tables sizes excellent & distancing just right under current circumstances.The waitresses are just so sweet and kind and really go beyond their service to help you.The food - absolutely bloody amazing.I had mushroom soup - divine ❤️Ox liver - just mouth watering & melted it was out of this world.The Bicycle cheesecake - tasted really good but more sauce as slightly dry but that's my preference.My husband had fish n chips with curried pea purée.He said it just made it - for someone who doesn't like curries that's gob smacking.Would I return hell yes. Congratulations to you all for such a wonderful restaurant.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Impeccable & polite waitresses. Food presentation = 5*. Another favourite added to our list.

Lovely evening, superb food. Only sad thing we were seated by the kitchen door which was a bit chaotic, but service and food made up for that!

First time here and will definitely go back. The service was outstanding and the food was better. A must if you want a nice treat.

Really friendly staff, fantastic menu with a large variety of dishes to suit everyone. Beautiful food, tasted amazing and presented really well. Had a really lovely lunch sat outside enjoying the sunshine. Would highly recommend!
