Friendly Atmosphere, Lovely Staff, Good Service and Great Beer 🍺

Went there for a meeting in the function room. The pub had a good atmosphere , was mainly men.

Brilliant place to visit. Staff very friendly as we're the locals will definitely visit again next time we go to Clacton

They let the local history society hold our latest meeting , at very short notice, after our usual venue was flooded, and were very helpful and accommodatimg

Went here when on holiday to Clacton, was a lovely little pub, bar staff were friendly and attentive, table service only because of covid situation, also Saturday night live music was on, toilets were clean

Super-Welcoming Eatery/Drinkery...I used to visit this place on a regular basis, back when I was living in this part of the country. Having been here a couple of times now when I've been in town, I have to say that the Tavern still scores full marks on so many fronts.The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Drinks are priced fairly, and the food is of good quality, and the atmosphere is unfailingly welcoming.The Tavern really does score full marks across the board.Pro-Tip: If you're planning a function, the Tavern has two rooms available for hire. Prices for this are more than reasonable, and the Tavern's staff will bend over backward to make sure that everything is just perfect, no matter what you have planned.
