Travelled to the chip shop specifically on a Saturday night for doner meat and chips but when we arrived we were told they didn’t have any left, so we picked a large portion of cod and chips and a regular saveloy and chips instead. We also asked for gravy but was told they didn’t have any of that either, so settled for curry sauce. There was quite a long wait for the food, despite it being empty at about 6pm - about a 20 minute wait - but on the other hand, at least it was cooked fresh in front of us. Definitely telephone your order in first to avoid the wait!!Strangely the curry sauce was served up first, which meant that by the time we got the rest of the food, it was a bit cold! The portions were huge, which was good, but the chips were a bit over cooked. The cod was lovely, no bones whatsoever and the saveloy also was good with no gristly bits.Very pleasant and friendly staff.

On a weekend break with the caravan. Went there on Saturday night for a takeaway. Chips were a really awful colour, and tasted just as bad. Threw away most if them. Battered sausage must have been cooked for hours , only had traces of batter, and tasted and looked terrible. Fish and scampi were ok , I was told. Have to say , staff were very friendly , but I would not go there again.
