Dined 22/04/22 20:00 HoursFive stars is not enough for this gem of a pub. Not being from the area, did a little research and the reviews do not do it justice.Staff so welcoming, friendly, attentive and appear to enjoy their work. The menu is extensive with a lot of variety and the food was simply amazing - plentiful, tasteful, beautifully presented and value for money. I even managed to find my friend's new favourite tipple, which of course is exclusive to this chain..If you are in the area, I would highly recommend going to The Yachtmans. We didn’t book in advance and had to wait a short while, so if you plan on eating - definitely call to book.

The ladies running the pub yesterday (18/04/2022) were so polite! Each one of them was extremely polite and really made the pub a welcoming place to be.Usually closed on Mondays so their sign said - but opened up for Easter Monday.Well done ladies, thanks for a lovely lunch x

Visiting with Friends for a walk out on New Year’s Day. Found this little pub, saw the menu and specials board outside. Went in to order, to sit outside. For some reason only allowed us to order drinks. Yet we knew what we wanted. We was then told “ your order will be taken at your table”. So we sat at the table for over half and hour. We got our drinks but no food order taken. After sitting for ages, we see the pub was getting busy, and agreed to go in pay for our drinks and go. Staff were totally oblivious that we were waiting for our order to be taken. When we had asked 2 different waitresses. Not impressed, ended up at local friendly fish and chip shop.

Good main and lunch menu. Plenty of seating inside and out. Covered and uncovered outside. Friendly staff wearing masks. Hand sanitizer at door. High chairs available for toddlers plus the waitress brought crayons for great granddaughter to draw with. Table service for food and drinks. Sadly Greene King but the Timothy Taylor Landlord was fine

Food outstanding but Service very very slow over 2.45 mins for main meal and pudding. Waitress gave us dessert menu and then just left. Must have been end of her shift. 35 mins later had to try and attract another's attention. Food Was worth the wait but won't be rushing back.
