Can't visit Clacton-on-Sea without stopping at Tubby's. Worth every penny

In one photo this I'd why I will never use this place! I mean who lets their staff smoke around fresh food?

Had a prawn cocktail from here last week and got food poisoning the next day! I've never felt so ill and weak. Very disgusted and horrified. Seafood you would expect to be fresh. Don't be fooled!

Had a portion of cockles which were decent but not worth the price at all.

Started eating Tubbies this week during my first holiday out in Clacton. I fell in love with the freshness, quality of seafood and amazing customer service and atmosphere.I have recently started doing some research and realised how lucky i am to even find some of Tubby’s stalls. The family business been around for about 100 years now and has been and still is an extraordinary provider of quality fish and jellied eels.It really hurts me to see Tubby’s just isn’t about as much as the London days. I just wish they create a facebook page or website to keep this beautiful family business going. I would never wish to see them go and i honestly wish them success, prosperity and many more decades of trading.I wish people would appreciate how legendary, eatablished and respected Tubby’s truly is. I would do anything i can to keep this franchise going.YOU ARE SO LOVED, NEVER GIVE UP.

More closed than open even in the season . Very good when open but a bit pricey for what you get .
