Youngs Other Plaice in Tendring

Ate in. It was OK. Batter nice and crispy, but the chips were soggy, the bread rolls (£1.10!) were dry and the fish was thin. And £2.50 for a can of Coke is a bit of a Mickey take in a local chippy. Friendly service but I wouldn't go back.

Very nice fish and chips here. Staff were very nice i think only chippy there lol not a long walk back to the beach reasonably priced also. Parking across the road so convenient place to stop for a quick bite to eat. Chips not as greasy as most chippies so another bonus. Will visit again

Really impressed with the cod and chips. We travel up from Rayleigh to Frinton. First time at Young's but the last. The cod ( we had the small each and chips were really good) The only shame is due to covid no seating which is not surprising. Definitely highly recommend this venue 🙂

Friendly staff delicious fresh fish cooked to order, waited outside to collect order which was done for social distancing. Chips are perfect. FANTASTIC FISH AND CHIPS

Was initially nice fish and chips after a bank holiday walk, but it has caused an upset stomach lasting several days, so won't be going there again.

Often visit this chippie and it's excellent. So why just the one star? Well I was asked by the friendly young person taking the orders if I wanted salt and vinegar and I answered 'just a tiny bit please'. The food was wrapped by two women completely lost in conversation and the amount of salt going on the chips was shocking. My name was called so I asked the same woman to replace the chips with a tiny bit of salt and vinegar as requested at which she began manically rolling her eyes and she just kept on huffing and sighing and rolling her eyes. What a way to spoil my fish.and chips.

Very polite and friendly staff. Fish taste good but a bit oily thus 4 out of 5.

The fish was nice but the wait... We was on the Q for probably an hour.. they need to work on processing the orders quicker

Just the best fish and chips i have ever had. Service great. Whatever oil they use for frying - it's fab and no aftertaste which you sometimes get in other chippies The cod is unbelievably delicious! Wonderful all round and reasonably priced.

Lovely, crisp freshly cooked fish and chips. Went on a Saturday evening and although it was busy we were served quickly and didn't have to wait too long. Just be aware they don't take cards (I'd they did i would give them 5), thankfully there is a cash machine nearby. Also worth knowing they do burgers etc as well if some of your party don't like fish and chips!!!
