This pub is very pretty with a lovely location. However we were at this pub sunday 8/5/ 22 for my birthday lunch with family.Im sorry to say that the food in my opinion was very poor, i had a VEGETARIAN roast, much to my horror there was a sausage meat ball included !!! The roast potatoes were not fresh, yorshires were paper thin and just disintegrated, also my dish was dry so had to ask for gravy!!! 2 of the other dishes which were Meat roasts also had the same problem with vegatables etc ! .!! Also on receiving our meals there was know cutlery available for some time, hence food was cold !!My son complained at the time , and the manager did come to the table, never offered to replace my vegetarian meal, but just offered an apology and a small deduction in the bill. The young staff who served us were lovely and kept apologising. We have been to this pub before, but felt on sunday it was at bursting point !!!

Fabulous roast today. Staff are so nice and went out of their way to find some cranberry sauce for me. We love it here.

Went for dinner last night with my husband, really lovely place, friendly staff and the food was fantastic! Will definitely be returning. Portions are enormous though, order with caution, we were so stuffed we almost had to roll ourselves home 😀

Huge roast dinners you will need a doggy bag. Roast dinner is tasty with plenty of vegetables. The pub is quite small inside but there is an extra marquee in the garden.

We attended an event in the marquee... the service was good, the staff were helpful and friendly, drink selections were great... the food at the party was good...My feedback to the owner will be, tidy up the car park, being the 1st thing you see before walking in... also the food atbthe party best if it serviced all at once and not in stages.Overall very good.. keep up the good work

A bit slow today as they were very busy. Not a surprise really as the food is tasty with large portions are a good mix. I had the katsu chicken to start which was crunchy and tasty. I followed up with the 1/2 rack of ribs which were excellent and covered in a generous portion of bbq sauce... too much food really but hard to resist ;)

Absolutely superb food, lovely cozy little place with a homely feel. The portions are... Generous, don't eat for a day or two before going 😂 Highly recommended, booking is probably wise.

I was recommended to try the cart and horses on a Tuesday night as they do a steak, chips and peas for £10. I wasn't expecting much for that but must say it was amazing. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. We will be back again soon.

Sunday lunch of high quality roasts, very friendly staff, great service with truly Flintstonian sized portions to make this pub great value for money. The pork roast was super with proper crackling!Outdoor eating in marquees or small well appointed sheds as well as indoors. It’s a family favourite good food pub that rivals any in the area.

Went there last Tuesday and it was great. Very friendly welcome, great choice of drinks coupled to a really good menu. As it was Steak night, I had the 8 oz Ribeye…..it was fabulous, cooked how I asked and with a really spicy and rich pepper sauce - excellent. Place to go to!
