First class roast dinner and lovely seating area outside. Will definitely go again.

Lovely village pub, friendly staff, small but nice garden area, dog friendly.

Lamb shank wasn't up to much and very fatty with little meat, green veg undercooked, roast potatoes overcooked, cauliflower cheese portion too small (one dish for 6 diners), sweet wasn't that great either. Sorry but you did ask!

Dreadful meal - there were 4 Adults and none of us could eat it - it was over cooked pastry on the pies was as hard as concrete and fish and chips were over cooked, we didn't stop for desert we went to Garden Centre and got something there!!!!! Waste of money.

How lovely to walk into a pub that's absolutely buzzing and so popular. All our meals were excellent. My spicy lentil soup was exceptional. My friend's fish on seafood risotto looked amazing and she loved it. Service was spot on. Well done Natilee, Andy and team. We'll definitely be back.

We stopped at Bovingdon for lunch, looking for a cafe or bistro. Not much choice, so decided to head for a pub. What a find! The Bell Inn is a lovely low beamed traditional pub, with friendly staff, good beer choice, and a great menu. I ordered a fish finger baguette, from the lite bite menu... lite? It was massive! Lovely big fish fingers, with freshly baked baguette, and tartar sauce to die for. The wife had butternut squash soup, which she really enjoyed. Top quality pub food, at a great price.

Best pie I've ever had! Filled to the brim with freshly made goodness and served with perfectly done chips and peas. 3 of us each ordered a different one and each meal was uniquely delicious. The kiddie fish finger and chips was quite big but enough left over for dinner 😉Service was very friendly and efficient though it might've been nice to know her name. I will definitely recommend The Bell Inn and know where to go if back in the area again.

The food here is really good - proper pies with pastry all around (none of that 'pot with a pastry lid' rubbish here) and properly packed with meat too. I had the chicken & ham and my wife had the steak & ale and both were excellent. Can't comment on the beers unfortunately, as I was driving, but there seemed to be a good choice including locally brewed ales. Recommended!

Lovely and friendly, food perfect. Best burger I've had ever, best liver and bacon for my mum, puddings just perfect. Excellent value for money.
