Wonderful small local pub serving a good selection of real ale and cider. This and the knowledgeable staff made the visit a high scoring venue in this year's local CAMRA POTY Competion.

·

Wonderful English pub. First class ale and plenty of choice.

·

No music. No TV. Just really good quality beer (not from the big boys) kept immaculately and atmosphere by the pound

·

Very quiet. Nice pub won lots of awards from Camra but does not give discount for Camra members strange

Very Nice pub, come with my daughter and we have been allowed to drink outside. As it was sunny, it was perfect.Inside, it's not authorized under 14Y.

·

Great selection of real ales, beer festival running at the moment 17th Dec 2021 not sure of end date. well kept beer. Try the mild , amazing taste and smell to this beer wouldn't take many of these to start the Christmas party games!!!

You will not find a better, more attentively kept, or flavoursome pint of real ale for miles. In addition, there's a strong chance you can try a session beer with a depth and balance of flavours belying its 3%ABV strength. Broaden your beer horizons with a trip to the Land-o!

I've been coming here on and off for many years now, a decent selection of cask ales which are always well kept. Landlord is an interesting chap who may not be everyones cup of tea, not the most welcoming place but still a nice spot especially the garden.

This is one of my partner’s local pubs, and having now visited every other pub in the area many times, we’ve both decided that this one is our favourite. At a glance it looks like a bit of an old man pub, but it’s actually quite a quirky little spot with colourful clientele. There’s a reasonably broad, rotating selection of ales and ciders on offer as well as a good selection of gins and other spirits, and we always find something for our tastes. My partner says the sausage rolls are transcendental. The pub has a lot more character than others nearby and we’ve always found the staff friendly and welcoming. There’s also a really friendly pub dog called Purdy!
