Nice pub, friendly staff, good food. I like it here. Hope the tapas menu returns but meanwhile still a good choice.

Great staff, however only 1 on a Sunday?! The poor girl was run off her feet!Lots of customers in and somehow they all got server but no time to breath. This is a common occurance too!Food is limited as well so unless you're getting a roast dinner, come another day.2 stars for ONLY service, the rest are for lack of staff, limited menu and staff being overworked.

For some reason this pub has a history of not being good. My husband and I thought we’d give it a go as hadn’t been for a while. Staff lovely but the food needs a lot of work. The menu looked lovely with a good choice of food. We chose a ‘special’ which was a crab cake with a pickled cucumber salad plus we thought we’d share some chips. Sounded perfect for lunch. What arrived was a side plate with a small crab cake and a tiny garnish of pickled cucumber on top. It could’ve been presented so much better. Not quite what we had imagined it would be. The best part of the meal was the chips. Very disappointing visit

Staff are always lovely, steak sandwich was amazing, truffle fries were incredible. Really would look forward to the return of the fish finger sandwich? 😉

Went their last night only to be told that the Christmas menu had to be pre ordered, which was disappointing to say the least. Then ordered from their menu, which was the most mediocre meals ever. The battered fish was the same you would have get from a frozen supermarket pack and the chicken in the salad was as tough as old boots. Will surely never go their again, a complete waste of money!

New management has given the pub a fresh but still familiar look. Same chef so great burgers and Sunday roasts but new items also very tasty.

Can’t fault The Stag. Beautiful restaurant inside and a lovely beer garden. We have been here a few times for food and drinks since we moved to the area and we have to particularly compliment the Tapas menu. Nothing has disappointed thus far! It’s delicious. The manageress (we don’t know your name!) is awesome - my wife loves her! Customer service can’t be faulted and you can order on the app as well. Brilliant countryside local.

Great pub, food was brilliant. The staff was very kind. Will definitely come here in the future.
