Henry's Bar in Thurrock

Lovely staff are always very accommodating. The food is very tasty and well seasoned. The food from starters to main course was good not too long of a wait in-between. Good free parking and very kid friendly. I will go back in summer to try their beer garden.

We went to the restaurant for a Valentine's Day dinner. The booking online didn't work at first, so we booked through the phone. We arrived 30 minutes early (very little traffic, which was nice), but we were shown to our table immediately. The service was attentive (a bit too much at times). Our waitress was really lovely. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our night out. I would strongly recommend.

Lovely place to eat, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The steak & kidney pudding and mash was very nice.

I can’t put into words how fantastic my family’s experience was at Sir Henry’s!! We booked a large table (16 people) and it has undoubtedly the best meal we have had.Brilliant service from the reservation right through to paying the bill!Food was EXCEPTIONAL and incredibly reasonably priced considering the quality.Service was fast, friendly and it was definitely noted that there was ample staff covering - it really showed in the smooth running of the whole night.Special thanks to Dee for her help and friendly demeanour throughout the night. We really appreciated her effort to make our night a good one!I only have one small niggle and it’s that we were not allowed to eat/ share the birthday cake we brought to the restaurant (it was homemade) but I appreciate their reasons concerning allergies.Safe to say the family will definitely be returning!

I went for lunch at 2pm on a Friday. We hadn't booked a table so waited about 15 mins. There is a bar area with a few tables for waiting in. I found the staff to be very lovely and my salad was delicious. There was a decent amount of crayfish and prawns, compared to other selfish salads I've had. I wasn't too impressed by the chips. They seemed quite bland and small, so it was possibly the last scoop of a packet. We were given a decent amount of time to decide what we wanted. By 4, the place was quiet. I will definitely be going back, and look forward to warmer weather so that I can enjoy the outside seating area. In terms of parking, there is limited space, and I saw at least two cars parking over two spaces. However, there is an overflow car park.

Came for Sunday roast, was absolutely impressed, very tasty, customer service was very attentive and welcoming. Will definitely come back. make sure to book over the phone to secure your table. Great for familys. Beautiful scenery inside and out.

If you live anywhere near Aveley, you must go here!! The actual restaurant and the outside area are stunning, with old beams and beautiful decor. The outdoor seating area is beautiful and would be a lovely space in the Summer.The food was nothing other than delicious. We had the sharing meat platter; for mains we had 16oz burger and lamb shank... just gorgeous! The dessert was amazing too.Review doesn't quite do it justice.The service was absolutely brilliant and a huge shout out to our waitress Georgia who was so accommodating, friendly and happy. We are definitely going back soon!

1st time at this place. The staff were efficient and courteous. No long wait between courses and the quality of the food was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Nice job everybody.

First time eating in Sir Henry’s and what a lovely pub. Nice music, great pub food and the staff are very polite. This is nicely decorated, and very homely. Will be coming to here again.

A perfect place to have a meet up and Sunday lunch with our family. We travelled from Bedfordshire and our family from East Kent.The staff are excellent, service and speed of delivery great. Our lunch was really good value for money. We'll done to the kitchen and serving staff. They even brought out a cake, with candles, for my wife's birthday.A quiant 13th. Century building, very well restored with seating for many inside and even more outside in the gardens. It also has a good little play area for the kids.We definitely will be back.....
