Miller and Carter Steakhouse in Thurrock

Placed an order through uber eats because I am currently unwell and I thought it would be nice to treat me and my partner to a decent meal. What turned up absolutely horrified us. RAW beef and undercooked chicken!! Chips, mushrooms and broccoli were stone cold. Mac and Cheese was covered in oil and looked liked it had been microwaved for about 6 weeks. Miller and Carter normally arrives with a lettuce wedge and sauce but these were not in the bag. I now feel more sick and have lost £56. Will be contacting for a refund.

Had an amazing night out with a friend. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was also great!Ribs were super meaty and all the food piping hot. My friend was enamoured with her sweet potato fries, she loved how fresh they were and she would come back for more of them.Our server Shanon was super friendly and helpful, she helped advise my friend on the different options with steak and sides.Would visit again, a lovely view of the lake and we were able to sit right by the windows.

Amazing venue with great quality food and cocktails. We visited after shopping didnt book and luckily managed to get a table. Gentlemen at the door was very friendly and sat us down to explain the menu to us. Restaurant was very busy however didnt feel rushed food was great we will be back soon

I have ordered coffee and dessert...very disappointed with the quality of service. My latte have been served with dirty glass on top of that dirty, used spoon....very disappointed as never in my life I came across with this kind of poor service.

First time we ate here it was pretty decent but we feel like the service and quality has gone down massively.The service was slow with over an hour between one course being finished and being presented with the following. Asked the same waitress for a drink four times and despite coming back twice, never returned with the drink so had to ask someone else to bring the drink we ordered. Food arrived and items missed so had to ask someone else to bring them as waitress did not return for over 30 minutes whilst we were without items.On wanting to pay the bill, being told we have to wait for our server which took a long time. Seeing the extended wait the front desk person got us our bill and card machine. I checked the price on the card machine and it was almost 50% more than was on the bill. No apology, simply changed the amount to the correct amount.Wont be coming back to this branch again as having visited other Miller & Carter branches, this fell massively short.

Went on Thursday night 13th Jan, booked for 2 of us at 7.30,at the lakeside restaurant. Place was extremely busy. Starter took 30 minutes to arrive, scallops were hidden by the lettuce, chicken wings were tasty but lukewarm. The restaurant got progressively colder as the night wore on. The New York strip stake must have been flown in specially as the mains took a further 62 minutes to arrive. You know there are going to be problems when the steak knife hardly cuts the meat which had been cooked medium rare. Of a 20 oz steak I would say the balance of meat to fat was close to 50/50. The triple cooked chips had missed out on at least 2 cooks. When asked by our server how was the meal she was taken aback by our comments and offered us free desserts and to bring the manager over to try and resolve the problems. How do you resolve an extremely poor meal with it now being almost 9.30 and only 2 1/2 hours of your birthday left. We decided against taking up the offer of free desserts as we wanted to be home before midnight. Shame you can't give no stars the night certainly merit it.

I've never eaten steak on a boat before so this was definitely a first. What a structure for a restaurant!Food was as good as any other Miller & Carter and the staff are lovely. Thoroughly recommend!

The service has definitely gone down since Covid. No hello or hi, started with do you have a reservation. Yes we did!!Burnt chips, burnt sweet potato fries, medium steak done to cremated. I was not impressed at all, the manager just came over with a very patronising tone, absolutely no apologies for giving us well done when we requested medium, no offer of a replacement meal, just said she’ll take the steak off the bill and walked away. Yeah I will not be back here
