Nando's in Thurrock

Great staff, but let down by cold draft from doors that made all our food cold and chewy that we had to discard it as we ran out of time. Hope it improves.

It's a spacious and nicely bright dining place. Staff is nice and polite. Afternoon wasn't busy today so the order was prepared very quickly. I did not have to wait too long when I was hungry. So full points to kitchen staff today. As soon as I finished a very nice and polite team member came and requested to pick up plates. Felt good but at the same time it felt like they wanted me to get out as soon as I finished my food. Who knows what's the intention behind it but again full points to politeness and behaviour of all staff today.A lot of parking outside since it's based at lakeside shopping estate.Food was acceptable and same as all Nandos. It just seems like they are getting expensive day by day but so are the other things.

Really lovely staff, spotless restaurant and delicious food! What's not to like. Great little place and would definitely recommend. Thanks for looking after us (even though we turned up half hour before closing!) we really appreciated it.

Despite the best efforts of Irene, the only staff member who seemed to actually working, our experience was very poor. I love going to Nandos and would never want to give negative feedback but yesterday’s visit was unacceptable. Part of our order was incorrect, so Irene took it back to be replaced. Whilst waiting we discovered the peri chips were less than warm & actually felt like they had been sitting on the shelf waiting for ages. On getting the replacement product, it was incorrect again so we sent it back AND the cold chips. Irene was very apologetic. Whilst this was going on, there were at least 4 food orders just waiting to be taken for more than 10/15 minutes. And whilst these two occurrences were happening, the manager (who had been informed of our food situation) was holding a team meeting with at least 6 members of staff…during the lunch period where the food was not being taken in a timely manner & only two members of staff actually trying to serve the food and deal with more than just our complaints. Compliments to Irene for doing her best and keeping professional and being apologetic. The manager needs to recognise that he needs to be hands on in a busy restaurant and actually approach the unhappy customers himself. I’m sorry I have had to give negative feedback but restaurants cannot be complacent and staff who ARE dealing with situations whilst serving everyone else should be recognised positively.

When served by Irene its always a great friendly experience. She delivers a professional service she has warmth and care. Very efficient. She shares a conversation with me and the children when they are with me. She makes me choose this location with my hope to see her. She's amazing all restaurants need a member of staff like Irene. Thank you.

Been to this one quiet a few times, and can honestly say I can’t fault it. Everyone that works here is so polite and helpful. I am a coeliac, so have to be really careful what I eat? The manager was amazing…. Never made me feel like I was causing any inconvenience, she was lovely. Thanks 🤗

I have to say that the manger at this branch is epic... ...had an issue with my order - it was mixed up, so i got given way less items than i had purchased for a takeaway... ...was upset when i discovered this on getting on home... ...phoned up and was compensated for the error with no fuss at all... ... great manager, great branch, thank you.

Service wasn't too bad.No one met you at the door to seat you and people just seemed to be walking around aimlesslyThe Piri Piri fries we ordered were nice and hot but the Chicken in the Wrap and the Chicken in the Burger was cold.Staff were friendly enough but we're very keen to get you out the door to clean the table despite no one waiting.

Chicken chicken chicken! Lovely! Very covid-19 secure, you have to book a table pre-hand, you then receive a text to let you know your table is ready. When you arrive to your table there is a QR code and your table number, all you do is scan the QR and order your food! Simple as, all contactless. Tables are spaced out, staff are nice and friendly, they also come around more often now.
