I celebrated my wedding here in March and honestly It was the best day of my life!Sam was my contact from the start and helped me with coordinating my plans prior to the day. She is really friendly and super understanding with all my suggestions and ideas which made me feel at ease.On the day of my wedding, Amanda was my point of contact. She was really incrediable making sure at all times that things were going to plan. She is such a proactive attentive person, I did not once have to worry about anything and was able to have a great time without having to worry about logistics.Amanda, Claire, Sam, and all the staff exceeded my expectations!The rooms were immaculate, beautiful venue, impeccable staff, and great food! What more can you want? ......Everything was fantastic!!!!!!

Stayed here for 2 nights, for work purposes, staff are really nice, room was more than adequate, after all it was a comfortable base while actually working on site. Highly recommended.

Bit of a tired room, spacious but window allowed traffic noise. Breakfast was good. All in all was expecting a bit more for the price charged.

We had an excellent afternoon tea which exceeded our expectations. Three plates of sandwiches and three of cakes ensured we took some home in the boxes they provided. Will use again as the staff were so friendly as well.

I went here for a wedding about 8 years ago and was impressed. Today was my first visit back which was for a conference. So I have now seen this place in full. Really nice setting with its surrounding trees and gardens. Really friendly staff and well organised

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago, booking a Superior Room at short notice for a 'treat' on the way to see family.From the first time we walked in to when we left all the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful and made us feel very special. Thank you so much, especially the ladies on reception.The room was excellent. Spacious, warm, quiet, very clean, well equipped. Having ordered champagne we were met with this along with towel swans and rose petals on the bed - unexpected, lovely and greatly appreciated. I had a great night's sleep - not always the case when staying away elsewhere.We ate in the bar and the food was excellent - good portions, well cooked and much better than normal 'pub grub'. The bar staff continued the theme of making us feel special and valued, despite being busy. Breakfast the following day was again great, with the staff friendly and attentive but not intrusive.Overall a brilliant experience and something that we certainly hope to do again in the future. The effort put in by all at the hotel to make us feel welcome and valued was awesome. At no time did one feel that this was 'extra' effort, it just felt like the norm.As restrictions stay in place I hope the hotel manages to continue offering such a great service, that compares so very well to our experiences elsewhere in the UK and around the world.Thank you !

Young staff very good. My friends who stayed the night were put in a room which stunk of smoke and they complained and was put in another room. There were 3 of us that was having the evening meal. It was cooked OK but a few vegetables would have nice on the plate. Starters was very nice. When I saw my friends the next day, they said they slept very well but the breakfast was horrible. They said it looked like it had been cooked for a couple of hours. Sadly they will not return again and I felt terrible as I recommend your place as I worked there 38 years ago.

Excellent location, just of the A13, which I found perfect for my purposes. The main hotel itself is a well maintained and imposing period property, whereas the rooms are set behind the main house in modern blocks. The rooms were clean, well maintained and functional, and the reception kindly popped the invoice under the door before I left in the morning, making checkout hassle-free.In summary, perfect for business!

Went to a charity gala that was arranged last minute at the hotel due to another venue letting the event down last minute, Stifford were absolutely fantastic, staff were brilliant, food was lovely and they made everything perfect last minute. Thank you to all who made that event perfect.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff and good food served! Was there on a business trip so only stayed one night but was good! Only downside if you haven't been before is finding the entrance (I arrived at night and missed it completely even with 2 satnavs!) but once you know where it is its fine!
