The Bull in Thurrock

Was such a lovely pub but clearly the manager isn’t bothered and shouldn’t be in hospitality as he has no customer service skills at all! When you spending a lot of money I would at least expect a hello or smile nothing we were clearly an inconvenience for him as he told us once we had our food he could go home. Told us food would be 30 mins and was well over an hr. Arguing with other customers at the bar in front of everyone and chucking them out at 7 in the evening absolute joke! Closing when ever they want. Think I will definitely try The Ship pub next time.

We've been pleasantly surprised as from the outside we had the impression it is really small and dark, but the suprise was inside: clean rooms full with light and friendly staff. The food is great and the terrace is amazing. Really enjoyed our experience there!

Always love visiting the bull it has a great atmosphere and in the daytime the kids love playing in the garden playground. It's always clean and the drinks and food a good price! Have tried most of the menu and enjoyed it all. In the evening on the weekend they have a dj and it's always good fun!

The environment looks great. Definitely a nice space that one won't expect with just looking from the outside. It has ample parking which is great as well.The drinks are good too. However, I seems they were probably short staffed because it was one person taking orders, serving and clearing up as well.Food came in a bit after an hour late. The bun was cold, the food was tasteless in my opinion; I ordered the Cajun Chicken Burger (definitely pricey for what was consumed). Had to take out of a friend's chicken wings which was nice while we were waiting for over an hour to get our food.

Hi me and my wife and son went to the Bull on Saturday for food and a drink I can strongly recommend the jd ribs they were the best I've ever had. And I do love ribs. Also great service from the very friendly staff 👏👍

This was the most inhospitable pub I have ever been to! After waiting 10mins to find someone to serve us we went into garden. You can't sit there! ! Into another area! ! You can't sit there! Buy a drink but don't sit down! ! ! Horrendous!

Garden has been improved even further so it's a lovely place to go in the sun but it does get very busy at usual popular times. Not the cheapest beer I've had!

Pub looks great and has a great garden.The food is diabolical. The ribs resemble microwaved mess. The risotto is without a doubt a microwave meal too. Everything is just real bad. Shame.

Had a lovely evening at the Bull for a family meal. Large table booking.We enjoyed our meal and the serves. Our server Georgia was lovely and very helpful.Thank you

First time I've dined here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I took my mum for lunch as we've passed it many times but never thought to go in.We had warm reception upon entering and inwss impressed by the decor and cleanliness, much more 'chic' than your normal pub.It was a busy lunch, we were not in a hurry so the time between starter and main was perfect. Our starters were lovely, prawn cocktail and pate and caramelized onion chutney.I recommend the tempura fish and chips, delicious, not greasy or anything. Lovely chips, peas and tartare sauce. My mum had steak and chips which she also enjoyed. Our waitress was very warm and friendly.Some updates pics from a lunch in December 2021 - a lovely venue, with perfect service and delicious food.Service is not included, and the machine didn't allow to add, so if you want to tip, you need to have cash on you.
