Waited 15 minutes on arrival to be seated for a pre booked table. The pub is nicely decorated, including Xmas decorations still being up. Mothers day meals being advertised which was a nice touch. We were seated a miserable 2 seater behind a door, so no view of the charming village setting, it also had the belongs of the customers next us on it.Ordered two drinks, one was wrong but not a issue. I think the member of staff was new. After 40 minutes, the food hadn’t arrived and customers whom ordered after us had eaten and left. When I chased up the food the senior member of bar staff informed me that the order has been ā€œpushed to the bottom by the volume of orders received and it would be 5 minutesā€ I received a very insincere apology - I got the impression this happens frequently.Th food did arrived shorty after, however the order was wrong (again) but being hungry and fed up we ate and left. The atmosphere in the pub was mixed, families and couples were gathered for meals, children were around. Unfortunately, our table was located near a loud man using foul language ( f&c’s) and talking about a friend of his on the way to the Dog and Partridge pub, whom was already drunk and has crashed his car. Charming. This went unchallenged by staff the for out entire visit and tipped the experience from a laughable 3 to a 1 star.I’d like to leave this on a positive note, the food was tasty and reasonably priced even if 50% of the order was wrong.

We as a family having visited the dog and partridge on a number of occasions, however the last few occasions there’s always a problem with something, today I have to say has put myself and my family of this place. We walked in selected a table. No reservations on the table, so sat down three children four adults. We ordered drinks payed, then ordered food payed . Then was approached by an angry lady to say the baby can’t sit at the end of the table, myself and my husband offered to move to the next table but was told no that’s reserved. The most embarrassing experience iv had in a while, we had to gather up all our things and leave . To add insult to us then another 20 minutes to get a refund. We went outside with our drinks. With a baby and two children. And watched the same lady put a reserved sign on the table we were sat on . I have never felt the need to comment on any pub or restaurant, but today was a truly awful experience. We got a lovely meal and a very warm welcome from willow farm . Thank you dog and partridge, we have now found a lovely place for our family to enjoy, we won’t be visiting your establishment again.

Eat here very often and the food is always amazing. Even if it’s just for a small bite to eat of the lunch menu, it always tastes lovely. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming as well 😊

There was a problem with my reservation, but the manager sorted it out within minutes. Very good service from all the staff. Food was good. Enjoyed the lunch.

Massively disappointed and possibly the worst experience of dining out I can recall.• a 3rd of the menu not available- not made aware until we ordered• given options to make the meals we wanted work - only to be told it would cost more money to upgrade parts of the meals as stock wasn’t available• ran out of roast dinners - on a Sunday!!• they forgot we had ordered starters and these came out as afters• staff where unsympathetic to the issues and took an obtuse view towards a customer’s genuine complaints• manager was clearly on site, however we was told she had gone home.• Steak (rib-eye we had to pay extra for) was Inedible - 2 steaks!!• items missing from plates ā€˜not in stock’ but these we where never made aware of.The list could go on, but eventually we where begrudgingly given a refund on our food after sitting down at 4:30pm and finally Receiving our mains about 2 hours later. It’s not in my nature to go full on Karen and leave bad reviews, but tonight was a different degree of poor service and substandard food.Dog and Partridge you should be embarrassed of the service you provided tonight.

They have a new kitchen manager freshly trained and I must say the quality of the food has massively improved. I have had the best steak I've had in a pub for a long time, so a big shout out to the chef. Pub has a warm friendly atmosphere and bar staff are excellent. Would definately recommend.
