Best Chinese I ever had. Not too salty or fat. Great chow mains, spring rolls and soups. Portions are decent size so don't get too carried away. This is our go to Chinese.

It's with deep regret that I have to leave this negative review. I've been using this takeaway for many years and the food has always been generally quite good. But my last experience was not great and has really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. They delivered the wrong item through an order made on Just Eat. This wrong dish contained beef which we're not able to eat. When I called them to report it, they advised it will take over an hour to send the correct dish and offered me a refund instead, which I disappointedly accepted esp. as this has happened before on a previous occasion.I've checked my account the next day and did not receive the refund. I called them again and they advised it will be done through Just Eat. I accepted this in good faith to find this never happened. When reporting this to Just Eat, they completely washed their hands off the issue as 72 hours had passed by.I've been short-changed paying the full cost for an order which was not fufilled. I shall not be using this takeaway or the Just Eat App again.

After writing in the notes, NO ONION PLEASE. My dish arrived with more onion than anything else. When I spoke to the restaurant the chef called me a liar and said it was Chinese cabbage. Never heard so much rubbish in all my life. NO REFUND AND NO REPLACEMENT. AVOID like the plague.

Have used this takeaway for years, but sadly it has gone down hill. They now charge a delivery fee no matter how much you spend it may only be £1 for orders over £15 (£2 under) but the food and portions have deteriorated. I ordered a special chow main and it had nothing but leftover beef and chicken and I counted 1 shrimp, that's it. I would think takeaways would be trying to be the best they can in times of cost of living crisis when fewer people will be able to afford a takeaway, not be worse than they were.

Really tasty, fresh food. It was very busy and you can tell the staff are working very hard but are still polite and attentive. Good local Chinese we will definitely return!

Ordered food at 17:40. It didn't arrive until 19:50 and was cold. We reheated it and it tasted terrible so threw it away. Will never use "The New Monsoon" ever again.

Food was excellent! Very fresh and great flavours. Their pricing is however much higher than other Chinese takeaways in the area....on the menu they charge a lot of extra money for the slightest things like wanting extra hot etc.

Absolutely bad service, terrible management. I ordered king prawn fried rice but got shrimp x chicken fried rice. This is after waiting for over hour to get the food. I was then asked to send a picture confirming the order was incorrect which I did. The lady then asked me again after clearly seeing the picture if I was sure if it’s not small prawns even though we all aware what the differences between the two are. I was the told I’d get a refund but got called back to give the rice back to the driver bringing the money. I said okay but then I thought I’ve waited over an hour, surely I can get the correct order delivered instead? They told me I would have to wait another 45minutes? After messing up my order, I’m now also supposed to starve? This is all happening at 10pm. I was forced to tell them to forget it as I’m not going to stAy up to receive a refund or to receive the right order!!! Never ordering from this place again. Absolutely ridiculous. I will make sure I post this all over social media to all of my friends and family that live in the area. This is the second order they have messed up. The first time i let it slide because I was too hungry. Not this time

First time trying and so far impressed! If you want a basic Chinese takeaway, then go for it! They have all the essentials and all taste pretty good, nothing is greasy etc. The beef with ginger and spring onion was a particular highlight!Would be 5 stars, but we got chicken chow mein instead of duck chow mein as ordered!
