Small very friendly local pub . They serve good variety of well cooked and nicely served food. We had burger/fish n chips and chicken Kiev. All really delicious. Our little girl of 3 had pasta and was given little colouring set. All in all a really enjoyable visit.

Best pie I have ever had and I love pie. It was pie of the day which was turkey and bacon. Staff literally run off their feet but they were still very polite and attentive. Our first visit here but we will definitely be back. Excellent way to end my birthday. Thank you.

Hadn't visited for a couple of years but glad we went back. (Took my Mum out for lunch).Booked online and asked for a table on the ground floor...all sorted ok.Pretty standard pub grub menu.Food was good and nicely presented -Reasonably priced for what it was.Our server was friendly and well organised. Will return again.

Went Saturday for lunch. Very tasty and well presented, there were at least 3 main courses I would like to have tried so good choice of menu. Our waitress Sandra worked so hard, she didn't seem to stop but still had a wonderful demeanour and even acted as our photographer for the event. The only reason this is 4 stars not five, is unfortunately and not for the first time, despite prior warning for the need of discretion, it was obvious that our party had a larger booking than we were were trying to convey to the Birthday Boy. We will still be going back though

I really like the Whitmore arms. The food is always good and it isn't too pricey. Somewhere between a pub and a carvery. I think it is a good place for go for a Sunday dinner. Always popular at the weekend so you need to book

One of the best meals i have had and i am a foodie! beautiful attention to detail of presentation and flavours, a really excellent chef! I would count this place as a gastro pub.The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they can't do enough for you.If you stay at Orsett hall then this is well worth a visit as it is only a few minutes away.Looking forward to my next visit.
