Wimpy in Thurrock

It was our first time at Wimpy and we really enjoyed our lovely breakfast

Lovely service and nice lunch menu for both adults & children. Very accommodating & helpful for younger babies. Will return. 👍

Food was mediocre certainly nothing to write home about, warm rather than hot, bit taste less was most definitely not value for money for what it cost could of gone to TGI Fridays

Worst burger i have ever had it was cold and no taste or texture . Not just mine son in laws exactly the same. Never again

No Wimpy bars near me in Gravesend, so try to pay a visit whenever I'm in Thurrock Lakeside. I have been there twice in the past two weeks with two different family members whilst over there Christmas shopping.On the most recent visit, there were two young lads and a lady serving. All were very good, and the food arrived promptly, no doubt in no small part to the excellent 'back room' staff keeping on top of things too.Our first visit this time round we were served by a young lady, and I think her name may have been Demi. She was an absolute delight and ended up chatting to us during the quieter moments in the restaurant.It is this interaction between customers and staff that can make all the difference when choosing a place to eat, and so we will definitely be back. The food and the service was excellent.Well done to all of the staff at Wimpy Lakeside!

Be very wary when paying your bill here.Came with the kids and had lunch. The bill came to nearly £60. It seemed a lot so after paying I asked for a receipt, the lady asked which one, till or card. I asked for both. The till receipt wasn’t itemised, so I asked for an itemised one which was folded and handed to me. I looked at the list and there were at least 6-7 item which weren’t ours. I pointed out to the lady that the item were wrong. Oh ok she said, I think it got mixed up with the people who were sitting there before you, I’ll give you £10.50 back. Straight away she knew the right amount to give back in cash. I took the money and added up and checked the bill afterwards.Might have been a genuine mistake, but seemed a bit suspicious to me.

It's been a while since I've been to Wimpy, about 2 years. First time at this particular location though. It's amazing how the burgers still have that classic taste from my childhood from about 20 years ago. For this location I had a cheeseburger and with chips (chips cost extra). Clean restaurant, the condiments are all on the table and they ask if you need any others, I think my friend asked for BBQ sauce or something else and the polite and helpful staff had that.Food consistency and quantity is nice for the price and I had a strawberry milkshake which is by far one of my most favourites out of most other different restaurants. Quick service. Decent space with enough seats for the location. The only downside as to why this place hasn't got full stars is that Table no. 3 was badly wobbly, couldn't put any pressure on it while trying to cut food or lean on it.

Went there to bring back memories but wasnt great unfortunately the beef burger I had was very basic and the chips was just OK. Service was nice though. The three star is mainly for the staffs and the milkshake. Unfortunately won't be going back.
