Bayleaf Indian Takeaway in Uttlesford

AMAZING yummy food! We ordered as a huge group and everything was delicious and hot. The service was great, and delivery was on time. The chicken tikka was juicy and fresh and the dips was delicious.I would definitely go back again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)

This food was absolutely superb. I usually always go for a Chicken vindaloo when I have an Indian but decided to try something different. We ordered as a group at work and oh my. I had the Jalfrezi and chicken tikka biryani and some onion bhaji. Every thing was so delicious and we will definitely be ordering again. Can I just say, the naan bread as well was so succulent.

Food was watery and very bland like it was frozen was up all night being sick and bad stomach cramps, called to make complaint and guy basically laughed down phone to me! Whilst being quiet rude and shouting at me! Won't be using again

Have been going here for over two decades, the finest curry around. No matter where else you go, you will say” it’s not as good as a Bayleaf”..

Started using Bayleaf as I was working in the area. It has now become mine (and my colleague's) takeaway of choice whenever we are here.The food is excellent, good value and fresh. The service is superb (and friendly) and, as I've spent the last ten days in self isolation with Coronavirus at a local hotel, they have been an absolute life line with hot food (otherwise I'd have been living on bread and butter. Seriously).Very highly recommended.

Food is ok but they are sneaky with moneyI have used for a while and had to pay by card once. They charged me £2 to use my debit card and increased the meals so cost me another £7I questioned it and was told prices have gone up... requested a new menu with my food and didn’t.Decided to order again the following week and surprise surprise price was back to normal as paying my cash and they gave me a menu that time and was the same, so they completely lied to me.

Took 2.5 hours for delivery to turn up when quoted 1.5 hours to delivery. Food very average, 2 prawns in the prawn purée starter. Delivery driver showed zero interest, telling me it takes 20 mins to drive the 4 miles to get here. Don’t bother.

The food is always absolutely delicious, the timing is great (always piping hot) and the staff are lovely!! Been ordering from them for 10+ years and never had a bad meal. Couldn’t find a better takeaway anywhere! Thank you Bayleaf!!

Can never remember my drinks with my order, I like to drink with my food not half hour to hour later. Food was nice the first couple of times but this evening was terrible, swimming in water and a very questionable saag aloo which I'm pretty sure is meant to be cheese but I could not see or taste any. Phoned up to see if the head chef has been changed and was met with rude abrupt staff. I said you've lost a customer here to which the response was laughing and boasting "how we make customers and don't lose" well my money will be spent elsewhere even if I have to drive out and get it. Will never use again.
