The waitress/bar lady was absolutely lovely. My partner enjoyed his chicken burger. The chips were nice. Place is tidy and clean.Unfortunately taking stars off because the vegan ramen I ordered was inedible and sent back. The broth tasted of hot water and nothing more, veggies weren't seasoned at all, the tofu looked and tasted as if it was taken from the packet and put in a frying pan for a few minutes then added on top. When asked about the tofu's seasoning I was told it had been "salted beforehand." I'd suggest looking into different tofu marinades, you can also coat tofu in seasoned flour and fry it up so it's crispy.More stars taken off because we were then charged full price for the ramen which I barely touched. Have worked in the restaurant sector before and we wouldn't dream of charging for a dish sent back to the kitchen. The nice waitress who served us remedied this quickly when my partner brought it up - she took off the price of the drinks which was almost equal to the ramen.Had we not been charged for the dish that we sent back we would have returned to give you guys a second chance, as this restaurant is right on our doorstep. Unlikely to happen now.

Superb food every visit and more variety than most gastro pub menus - friendly service too. Highly recommend

One of our party has a food allergy which the staff were informed of, they served them a shortcrust pie with a totally different filling to the on the menu! The food although sounding good was fairly bland to the taste and expensive for the quality we were served. Some in our party had steak but could not tell which cut it was.

Fantastic roast dinner, divine dessert and great hospitality. Staff were attentive and friendly and made our large party feel very welcome. Will definitely return.

My wife, granddaughter and myself booked Saturday evening and enjoyed 3 superb meals. Compliments to the chef. Staff were very welcoming. Will come again. Thank you.

We’ve been here many times and the service, food an atmosphere is first class. We called in without a reservation on a wet and cold day and we were met with a warm welcome and a table. I had the shortcrust pie & mash which was amazing. The Coach & Horses has mastered the difficult combination of gastro and drinking pub. Give it a try!

Arrived here in error, mixing up with a different plough.Pleased we did. Staff were friendly and obliging, superb pub ambience, just what I like to see in a British pub, and the Sunday roast well presented and very tasty.Definite return visit country...

Really nice visit. The place is completely different inside to what you think it will be, it's a high quality fresh modern refurb. Immaculate and we'll spaced out.Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Very grateful they managed to fit us in on a Sunday!!Food was excellent - Real high quality ingredients and presentation. The roast was on the 9/10 scale for me.The meat was sliced perfectly and was soft to eat, no tough or fatty bits.Absolutely no complaints on food. All in all great visit and definitely will be coming back here again.Highly recommended and advise to call and book so not to be disappointed.

Nice Adnams and lovely food. All three of us had roast beef sunday lunch which was excellent, Yorkshire pud as it should be. The apple and cinnamon strudel with ice cream home made and delicious. Unfortunately short staffed with two staff in training so service was v slow. The manager was clearly doing his best and was v helpful served with a smile and a good sense of humour! Highly recommended!

The beer is always in top notch form, and the food great, with generous portions.Service is good, and there is a huge open log fire in the colder months. The pub has a huge garden too.Dine in the bar, the restaurant, family room or outside.Recent specials included Chicken & Chorizo Quesadillas & Macaroni Cheese, both were excellent, and the Sunday Roasts also tick the boxes. Can get busy, so booking is worth while!
