Jade Garden in Uttlesford

Disappointing. The pancakes for the duck came in the duck bag and were covered in oil. Cucumber was dry. Lemon chicken - awful. Sweet and sour chicken gristly, beef with ginger and spring onion - OK, prawn crackers stale, soup thick and floppy, seaweed burnt - , rice flavourless and Singapore noodles inedible as sooooo spicy - very upset as this was to celebrate CNY and the birth of our niece who is a dragon. We won’t be back as expensive as well.

Very bad experience I’ve had.. dry duck and the beef noodles were just horrible.. I’ve also waited 45 min for 3 dishes on a Sunday night.. I’d rather have them ask me to choose something else.. the chicken balls were greasy and tasted like fish.. I can tell they didn’t changed the oil in the fryers for loooong time.. very very bad I suggest to whoever wants to eat Chinese not to order from here . HORRIBLE

Went to Jade last night, the food was absolutely delicious, will definitely go back!

Ordered a takeaway on the 31/08/21 for dinner, at the early hours of the following day husband and I started to vomiting. We had two days of being very sick with food poison, needless to say we won't eat again from so called "Jade restaurant" anymore!PS: the food was cold, tasteless and seemed to be reheated, awful!

Never before had I had duck as deliciously prepared as at Jade Garden. Polite, attentive service. I recommend it to everyone.

A nice range of items on the menu, reasonable quantities and not badly priced. Happy with the quality too but Oh the wait! Phoned in our order, 40 minutes in advance and then waited, with half a dozen other customers, for another 30 minutes before our food appeared.

Ordered take away for collection. During COVID so not normal circumstances. Told to collect at 2045. Still in here waiting at nearly 2110. I think they wait until you get here, pay and then they start cooking it Won't be ordering from here again until things are normal.....

Poor service. Our starters came at different times. We had to wait for over an hour for our main course due to the fact that there were so many people collecting takeaways. The staff serving us were very friendly and apologetic. Probably won’t go there again, certainly not on a Saturday night.

I enjoy the food normally , but tonight I ordered chilly shredded crispy beef, unfortunately it was very dry and no flavour. Normally it comes with chilly sauce. Otherwise great place to eat. Great service .Highly recommend .

We had a takeaway from here yesterday and sadly it was the worst Chinese I've ever had. Crispy chilli beef was tasteless and chewy, sweet and sour chicken balls were grey and looked like they were reheated from the day before. One dish wasn't the one we ordered. Thank god we ordered a Satay sauce to pour over everything to get through it. Also seemed expensive compared to others in Walden. We had leftovers but decided to bin it all.. Which I'd NEVER do. All in all.. Pretty awful. Sorry.
