Poppy's Tea Room in Uttlesford

Great spot close to Clavering. Good coffee. Great cake choice and beautifully presented!! (Can you tell I'm a cyclist?!). There is a good menu too. Outside and inside tables. They say you should book ahead at popular times. Poppy is the dog not the owner!!

Stopped at this place during my long bike ride. Amazing food and great service. Also, there is bike rack. I will definitly keep this place as a stop over whenever I ride towards cambridge.

I came to Poppy's barn for mother's day with my family. We had two normal afternoon teas and two vegan.All the food was absolutely amazing. We weren't sure what to expect with the vegan versions but they had been prepared so thoughtfully, we didn't feel like we were missing out in the slightest.We ate all the sandwiches which were absolutely delicious and we now have plenty of cakes to enjoy over the upcoming days.The team were all lovely and seemed to have a real passion for what they were doing.Can't wait to visit again!

We love Poppy’s Barn! Their afternoon tea is our favorite. We love bringing any out of town guests here, especially if they’ve never experienced an English Tea. The staff is so lovely, and the food is incredible! We love their presentation—you can tell the staff really cares and takes great pride in their service.

Lovely friendly service. I can also park my bicycle where I can see it from inside, which is great.My scrambled eggs tasted great too!

Dropped in here with my cycling club. Booked a table the day before. Warm welcome, excellent service, lovely coffee and beautiful cakes (although I had toast and that was good too :)). This place is a gem and I will def be back. Perfect for cyclists as on a lovely route out of Clavering and plenty of bike racks. Nicely done.

Had an excellent Afternoon Tea. It was beautifully presented with range of preserves and lemon curd, as well as much clotted cream as you want! The owner was really welcoming and the service was attentive. Highly recommend, we will return!

Service staff is kind and friendly. Every materials fresh and delicious. The salad that was combined with the sandwich was surprised because souce of salad is perfect. The cake contained sweet and sour as I expected. The flower on the cake was suitable for eating, which is very important. I missed my mom after eating the cake :D All in all I loved this place and would like to visit again. Thanks.

Simply wonderful. A lovely location, easy parking and access. Poppy's Tea Room serve a perfectly English Afternoon Tea, super soft and fluffy home made scones, excellent sandwiches, a varies cake selection and a great selection of teas. Nothing was too much trouble and the views onto the surrounding farms make for an really enjoyable occasion. We'll remember this all year and definitely come back next time we are in the area.
