Restaurant in Uttlesford

This restaurant, The Restaurant, is so inconsistent that last night's visit, after about 20 years, will be my final one. Rubbery pigeon followed by rubbery lamb. When the chef proprietor gets it right, it's worth the money and the incredibly variable service, but when he gets it wrong it's really not - and that simply happens too often.

Christmas work party lot's of singing and dancing after a great meal

The food, service and the ambience is just wow! There was this waitress who were so welcoming. I was a bit doubtful whether the food would match my Indian taste. But I was totally overwhelmed by their presentation and the taste. And the dessert, it was the best thing I've ever tasted. Do try their Mango Passion fruit crème brûlée.

Best restaurant in Saffron Walden by miles! Consistently very good food and nice service. Every time I go I try 3 new courses and I have yet to come across one that is less than outstanding.

I took a party of 8 to celebrate my wife's birthday. Excellent food and very friendly service. There is a steep staircase that is a challenge for less mobile people.
