Today we had a family Afternoon Tea here. Its been a while since we have visited this pub. We were very impressed with the refurbishment, very modern and welcoming and spotlessly clean. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and shown to our table and drinks order was taken. Then 7 wonderful afternoon teas were served. We loved the vintage China that was used. We ordered coffee mainly but one of our party had tea. There was no problem with this and we were kept frequently supplied with coffee and tea throughout our visit. The food was inviting, a good selection of finger sandwiches and savory items. I have a mustard and mayonnaise allergy and my food was served on its own tea stand. No compromise had been made and I still had the same good selection as everyone else. The scones served were delicious. Our family has had afternoon tea at lots of high end London establishments and we thought the scones were as good as we had had anywhere. Good selection of cakes too and we particularly enjoyed the Easter themed cupcakes. We all came out very full! There were leftovers and boxes were rapidly brought to our table to take them home. We were very happy with our experience and hope to go back again soon maybe for a Sunday roast. Guess we are really lucky to have this establishment on our doorstep.

Lovely pub, recently reopened and renovated pub / restaurant. Andy and Julie are lovely. Can't wait to go back again. Great choice of wine, beers and lager. Booked for Sunday lunch straight away. Good menu choices including gluten and diary free if required.

Went out for an evening with some friends for my father's birthday. The landlady isn't exactly warm and welcoming. It's clean and pleasantly decorated throughout. Not a massive choice of spirits or soft drinks. Really nice outside area, probably lovely in the sunshine. Not keen on the bar seating area. If you're old or have any disability like I do. Then you are not going to be comfortable. As it's all stalls. There are chairs and tables in the regular restaurant part. Which is fine, if you want to eat. Definitely not comfortable for the wibbly of us out there. The whole experience was fine. Just a little underwhelming and uncomfortable.

Warm friendly welcome, comfortable seating and a cosy atmosphere, second visit recently here and have to say impressed with the whole experience. The food is superb, great beer selection and great service and really value for money. The Butchers Arms stands out from the crowd when it comes to quality.

Good food! Starters were great! Cod was lovely with the fish and chips, chips were a bit undercooked and needed quite a bit longer. The waitress was extremely good and super friendly.

Wonderful meal even though it was a little slow on the service. It was our grandaughters birthday and she was treated so well in there. Everybody sang happy birthday to her as well. Will be visiting again for sure as they have a nice area outside for socialising.

Lovely looking building with ample parking. Food was really nice and waitresses were a good laugh and seem to enjoy their work. 6 of us on the table and food came swiftly with enough of a break in between. A little disappointed in the inside decor, the old beams have been painted white with the ceiling so just seemed a bit plain rather than a cosy pub/restaurant. 4 stars and will return soon 👍
