We couldn’t sit in the beautiful barn area with our dog but the staff were very attentive and welcoming as the made a space for us to sit in the bar area, even going to the lengths of making a little bed area for the dog! The food was incredible (lamb and sirloin) and had such delicious flavours, we will 100% be returning!

Excellent service, food reasonable. A bit pricey for what you get. Would have preferred a wider menu choice

A fabulous meal here all round . I went for the Pork roast signature dish , with loan , cheek and belly and cracking , it was amazing . My wife went for the steak and said it was gorgeous . Never had a bad meal here, we've been there quite a bit . Ive read some reviews stating that the staff are not being attentive 🧐 , I havnt a clue what they are going on about thats nonsense , the staff have been superb every visit , especially Jack , who couldnt be more knowledgable about wine selection and food . Highly recommended .

What a great experience. I was last there a year ago and a little skeptical after an average meal, but what a difference! There’s obviously been the best change in management, food was excellent, service spot on and their homemade sourdough is one of the best I’ve had. Definitely recommended and excited for their Sunday lunch.

Delicious and beautifully presented food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Attentive staff and a lovely setting in the refurbished barn. The appetisers were small but flavoursome leaving plenty of room for dainty starters (duck, risotto) and tasty main courses (hake, pork and beetroot wellington). We also had desserts which were light and finished the meal so well. Thanks, we shall be back!

Service and food was impeccable. I will come back and would strongly recommend anyone to get a table booked. The sticky toffee pudding? Terrific, probably going to dream about it tonight to be honest..

A really nice place to eat and the food was good too, so why the 3 stars? The service was very slow and turned the whole experience in to a negative one. When you see people seated and served and finished in the time you have been served your mains you know things have gone wrong. May give them another try may not time will tell.

The barn area is a marvellous and atmospheric place to be seated..Sadly the food and value didn’t stack up. The pork fillet at £22 was minuscule and was lost in terms of overall portion size on the plate. The burger at £17 was better but still overpriced for a basic dish. The cheeseboard at £10 was an insult with 3 small portions of hard and soft cheese and 6 tiny round crackers.no grapes garnish or celery..with drinks 2 glasses of wine each and coffee @ nearly £95 this was a salutary lesson in what to avoid. Better value elsewhere and a disappointment. Will not recommend or be returning.

Fantastic, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in a stunning historic building. Three real ales (two local to East Anglia) and open fire. Worth visiting for the amazing, high ceilinged, beamed dining hall, alone. Keep supporting this pub and all our amazing pubs.

Beautiful old barn restaurant. Excellent Service, Fantastic Food. If we lived nearer this would definitely be on our regular places to eat list.
