Went for a walk there with our dog on Sunday day lunch time, the pub was shut and dogs was not allowed in the garden ...

Visited today on our way home. Bought a couple of drinks and sat in the garden with our very well behaved dog. On leaving a very unpleasant man, the landlord came out of his shed in the garden saying ''No dogs allowed'' then repeated, ''No dogs allowed'' If he had any manners he could easily have said, I'm sorry we don't allow dogs. But no he has his abrupt style. The beer was good hence 2 stars and the barmaid was pleasant but certainly if you have a dog there are many excellent pubs nearby who welcome you. If you don't have a dog there are many pubs nearby with polite landlords.

Went for a meal in this typical village pub. Meals as always were full of flavour and plenty of it..The staff were friendly and attentive to all our needs.Very nice beers on tap or draught, the IPA was very good.

Amazing pies. Friendly staff. They were really busy when we arrived (even on a week day!) We found ourselves a corner not in the restaurant and were happily served the best pub food you've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend!

Old traditional pub in a lovely setting. Bit disappointed with the meal especially as we ate there before about 2 years ago when catching a plane from Stansted. There was a smell of old grease coming from the kitchen when we entered the pub. I had crusted hake and husband had steak and ale pie. Very quiet when we were there. Good ales. Nice staff

A nice little olde world pub.Parking is fairly limited. We were a party of 15 and had pre-ordered our main courses of 3 types of roast beef, lamb and chicken. There was a good variety of vegetables. Good was well cooked. Now the desserts was where they really excelled. Large choice and good sized proportions. Not for dieters. All in all a very enjoyable meal.

Very cosy little pub but unfriendly staff. Staff had no idea what kind of beers they had (even on tap). We had to wait over 45 min for service. There were 10 people in the pub on a Saturday evening. Staff passed us by multiple times without even looking at us. Had one drink and left. As Belgians speaking English, we were almost laughed at when ordering our drinks. Hospitality zero! I prefer Fawlty Towers any days.

Booked in for a party of twelve last night, arrived a little early to find our table laid out and waiting, the place was fully booked and the staff were very busy, a couple of my guests were already at the bar so I joined them and was served in less than a minute by the owner. We were all seated on time, and the food was delivered to the tables by three waitress seamlessly, food was excellently prepared and there was plenty of it, would highly recommend this venue, but would suggest if possible to book in advance so as not to be disappointed.very happy to give five stars all round.
