Had been told ,was a good place to eat .looked at the menu thought it looked a bit basic and vegetarian. We had 6 different meals. . What a great find . 6 empty plates, 7 satisfied people. Top chef ,excellent staff. Thanks for a lovely meal . Thanks for the candle. Will be back.

The food is outstanding and I have honestly never had better service. Happy to provide vegan options and dealt brilliantly with my son's allergies.

Beautiful traditional pub, with smashing food. One of the staff even managed to do a handstand! absolutely bonkers night.

Food wise one of the best pubs in the area, Chris is an excellent chef and Liz and the other bar staff are always friendly and welcoming. I notice some people have moaned about needing to reserve tables, but they do only have limited space being in a small pub so it is just common sense to book ahead!Also top marks for the takeaway service during the lockdown, food was still great and nice to see you still going in a difficult time

Fantastic pub for Sunday lunch. The quality of the food, the size of the portions and the quality are all exemplary. The staff are also charming and incredibly helpful. Finally, being a free house, there are some excellent local beers available.
