Definition of a county pub wow completely rammed great atmosphere huge garden. Good selection of non alcoholic beers too. Would have been five but where giving out San Miguel in plain pint glass (ale glass)

Excellent. Community run pub with a community feel. 5 beers on offer when I called: the one I chose was in absolutely superb condition.

The local community did a great job saving this historic and friendly pub. Some great beers, great evening entertainment and can be equally quiet, or busy, depending on the dayI will come back and review once I've tried a few meals.

Greatest pub that I've experienced for cask ale in terms of quality and local provenance. Always a fantastic choice of real ales from Essex and neighbouring counties. Warm, friendly welcome and good atmosphere.

The Pumphouse 19 Elms last night must rank as one of the finest Best Bitters I have drunk. Sublime. This pub just goes on getting better, and has the friendliest locals you could find. I may have to move to Saffron Walden.
