Wonderful busy atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff and great pub food. Would highly recommend this traditional thatched pub for drinks and/or food.

Excellent food. We had lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed super food. Sandwiches and full meals available. Sticky toffee pudding was especially delightful.

My first visit to the Thatchers and a delightful experience. Service was cheerful, warm, attentive and personable . . . . just perfect. Our orders were promptly taken and served. Both mains were presented perfectly with attention to detail but avoiding fussiness. Battered cod was delicious and had been cooked in fresh oil, similarly the chips. The draft Guiness bore witness to high maintenance and storage standards. Prices were restrained and an absolute steal given the quality. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We stopped in this roadside pub for food whilst in the area. Traditional pub with original low beamed ceilings and small quaint rooms which were delightful. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Food chosen from a perfect menu was delicious and served efficiently. Highly recommended

Lovely setting, very friendly and attentive staff. I had a plaice which was very filling. Sides were nice but there wasn't much to them! Son had the kids burger but found both the patty and chips very salty.Altogether lovely evening but the food wasn't quite the best.

Nice and charming place serving traditional pub food. Waitresses were friendly and nice.My wife's sea bass was perfectly cooked and really tasty.The Ox cheek was great as well and the cod tasted fresh.2 reasons for the 4/5 :While the food was really good, it was way too salty.For a English country side pub, not having any local or even British beer on tap was disappointing.
