I had the cutest tea party there. Everything was delicious and service was class.

Visited Tea Room today. Nice surroundings and good menu. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time after sitting at a table and receiving the menu. When the waitress appeared there was no apology and our order was taken. Our drinks arrived complete with a badly chipped glass. Some time later our food was served which was ok. We sat with our dirty plates while we had another drink. Service was not good. The waitress was very abrupt and on leaving after two hours, we were still waiting for our plates to be collected.

Really lovely afternoon tea for myself and my sister including a vegetarian one for her. Delicious food and very friendly and helpful staff . Will definitely visit again .

Been here a couple of times now. My honest opinion is as follows:The first time I came here I really liked it (28/10/21), although the portion was quite stingy for the amount you pay. They also had no vegan spread, but still charged the same price for the vegan breakfast (which was meant to include this). The second time I went here (11/01/22) I asked if they had any vegan sausages twice and never got a reply to 'I'll go and check'.. I was overcharged and I did point this out to them, but they acted like they had done me a favour when I got a small refund back.. I think this was deliberate if I am honest, I get a feeling they may rely on you not checking your receipt otherwise why would they have done this? The food itself was good, but portions again are minimal. I did see a guy have a regular English Breakfast meal and this did seem to be a reasonable portion, not sure if he requested extra, so lack of consistency I would say with what I have ordered. My party also had toasted sandwiches with coleslaw. They didn't bring out the coleslaw as we were told the menu had changed, even though the menu available was not updated! They did bring this out though. Others had a cream tea deal, a good few cakes, but not as many sandwiches. They were only allowed to get the same (re-fillable) hot drinks again, not a different one (which was offered as part of the deal) - another menu change... They took a while to clear the table too. All in all, I would now say I would not go back there as I feel they possibly overcharge on purpose and think they are overpriced for the amount of food you get. We paid (3 of us) just under ÂŁ30 for what we had, no desserts either. We came from Wood Green (N22) by the way so a long journey too.

Wow! We had a lovely little lunch here. And tasted a few different items from the menu and by the looks of the other food that was coming out of the kitchen, you couldn't go far wrong with anything! We had two children's sarnies, a jacket and a classic cream tea. Very fresh and delicious. Service was fast...oh...I nearly forgot the AMAZING Oreo milkshake! We took a Halloween cupcake away too, somehow my daughter had room for it after the yummy lunch...and she tells me it is the most delicious cake she's ever had. We are only in this area for two days but intend on heading back for lunch tomorrow again. It was that good and family friendly! Thanks for having us!

Love coming to The Village Tea Rooms to eat. Lovely food with a good choice of gluten free dishes. ( gluten free breakfast pancakes 🥞 are amazing) Friendly staff and great service.

We travelled to this venue for half an hour and we were sorry we did. Service was slow, incompetent and food below average. Many ingredients were missing from the dishes and, despite asking what type of bread/toast we wanted, it seems as though they just served what they fancied. Toast never arrived (apparently the toaster wasn’t working) but no apologies or explanation, printer for the receipts didn’t work either. Apart from the manager, who tried her best, the young girls were rude and not interested in providing any customer service. The manager was apologetic and offered us 50% off the bill. A nice gesture but quite frankly it was like a scene from Fawlty Towers and even that amount was far too much. Unfortunately we would not go back to see if they improve.
