Derwish Restaurant in Watford

Went today for my sons birthday. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were great even though it was busier than expected - this did not affect the service. everyone was friendly and really helpful. The food was excellent, there was a large group of us and not a single person had any issue with their food or drinks.The portions were very generous too!The warm bread and dips is the best we have had.We will most definitely be back soon!Thank you all 👍🏼

First time visiting and I was amazed by the humbleness from the staff. Very kind and welcoming. When the food was served I was amazed by how generous the portion was. The meat was cooked perfectly. I would recommend coming here not only because the food was amazing but because of the general vibe, location and Halal.

Local restaurant in Watford serving Turkish cuisine. Great service from staff and food arrived very soon after ordering. We ordered a selection of hot and cold mezes, starters, mains and mocktails. Would reccomend to others and will definitely visit again soon.

Lovely restaurant and really good food. It's big enough for large groups and also quiet enough for a nice date night.

3/5. Food was very delicious. Loses a star for the price of their mixed grill platters, extortionately overpriced in terms of location and also for the quantity of food served. They also do not serve bulgar - I was shocked! Loses another one more star for slow service. We were one of the biggest tables there on a Wednesday evening. Food took 40 minutes from order. I had to request for table water 3 times before anyone served us any. It was a warm evening and they had no air conditioning or windows inside. A group of 6 young men, £132 bill. We ordered the calamari and haloumi starters with Derwish special grill #2, extra lamb chops (pictured) and lamb beyti (pictured) for mains plus a few softdrinks and mocktails. Overall, I wouldn't be in a rush to return. A very average experience.

Today we have ordered 2 chicken shishes. We have put a comment on Deliveroo that we would like a gluten free side for one of them. What we got was heart warming. The delivery guy was also very nice and smiling ear to ear. Oh, and the food was delicious as always. We keep ordering for sure ❤️
