Hanako Japanese Restaurant in Watford

Very overpriced, we asked to order more food and got told that we can’t as they don’t have time to cook for all people. 7 pounds almost for 3 gyozas - from the frozen pack that cost 6-7. Spring rolls cutted in halfs to make it look like 4 springrolls but in reality is 2. Matcha tea was done with not even half amout of powder that it should be. Sushis taste is ok, nothing to say, but portions of wasabi and soya sauce are tiny. In the Ramen there was not even egg and can’t say it’s proper Ramen, tasted as if it was water mixed with soya sauce and no sign of Miso paste that is supposed to be there.Very dissapointed

Great little sushi restaurant in this quaint town. Very good fish and the sushi rice was acceptable. Super nice family owns and operates and provides quick and attentive service. We would eat here again!

Great food in an authentic family run Japanese restaurant. There are many fake Japanese restaurants around l, but this is the real thing. Good food, always freshly cooked but quick. I've been here many times and always enjoyed it.

Best sushi yet! Awesome family ran restaurant. This is the closest you can get from the tastes from Japan. However it is a bit expensive but trust me.. Its worth every penny

Such a lovely, cosy restaurant. Authentic Japanese food that tasted amazing. The Okonomiyaki was just as, if not better than I've had in Japan. Definitely will visit again

It's really hard to find good Japanese food nearby - but this was amazing!! The customer service was great, really friendly and kind. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, Veg and Tofu Stir Fry,Veg Hot Pot and the Soy + Garlic Edamame beans - everything was sooo flavorful and zingy, I couldn't pick my favorite if you asked. Everything was perfect for the rainy weather! The Hot Pot was perfect for myself who had a cold :), the noodles in them were the best I have ever had, so silky and sofr. The Edamame were a great, healthy starter. The Chicken Katsu Curry was unlike anything we had tried before but we loved it. The Stir Fry was packed with flavor! Will be visiting again - can't wait to try the other dishes :)

A very warm welcome upon arrival, it almost felt like having dinner at your Nan's house. The service was not without it's faults but the food was wonderful. Highly recommend the prawn tempura. Prices are very good for the quality of the food.
