Pizza Express in Watford

Our waitress Alex was absolutely brilliant. Interacted with my 5 year old son so nicely, was attentive polite and just lovely. My husband and I both commented on the fact that she was probably the best waitress we’ve ever had. Alex is a real asset to pizza express Watford. Thank you Alex!

Always love eating here. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Great to know I'm totally safe eating here having coeliac disease. Great gluten free choices and app user discounts and offers. Nice vibe in the restaurant and recently refurbished. Good low lighting and nice decor. Thank you 😊

Pizza chain. I found the pizza surprisingly good, for a chain. We ate early that day, and there were many kids. Got quite noisy, and it resulted in us eating quickly to get out of the place. Will be back one day and update this review.

Sadly pizza express now appears to prioritise delivery drivers. We sat near the front of the restaurant and watched dozens of motorbike delivery drivers get served ahead of us. We waited roughly an hour and a quarter for our pizzas to arrive by which time certain ingredients had ruin out and my friend's nine year old daughter had to forgo her ice cream as it had taken so long.Pizza express need to decide which market they are catering for, as eat in and deliveries don't seem to be compatible.

Went for my friend's birthday & even though Pizza Express isn't currently doing any special offers, we still got a free glass of 🥂 each, which was very nice of them!I chose the Pollo Ad Astra thin and crispy pizza which so huge it was hanging over the sides of the plate. If you like your pizzas quite sweet but with a bit of heat, give it a try. My friend had Leggera PandanaBecause we chose the lighter pizza options we were able to enjoy a couple of desserts too 🙂 I had the cheesecake with the salted caramel ice cream (very tasty combination!) My friend had the honeycomb cream slice with mascapone which was amazing. Has to be the best dessert on the menu.The staff were great and had the balance just right when checking on us. They assisted us when we needed it, otherwise, left us to enjoy our meal. Total bill was £64 which was very reasonable for what we had.We did, however, have an issue with a small number of midges at our table which is why I haven't given a 5 star rating.

Arrived around 9. We hadn’t booked but were seated after a while by a guy wearing casual clothes.... I didn’t even realise he worked there. Waited 20 minutes and no one even took a drink order. Staff walked past constantly and seemed extremely unprofessional (arguing by tables and punching walls). We eventually left without ordering although that turned out to be the best decision as the portions looked small and mediocre. Seriously?! £9 for some balls of dough.It’s very strange a place like Pizza Express can’t handle even a half full restaurant when other Italian restaurants in Watford can quickly, professionally and efficiently serve customers, even when they are fully booked.Absolutely atrocious.

Fantastic service and delicious food. I don’t usually leave reviews but we had such exceptional service I feel it is worth a mention. We were a table of 12 celebrating our daughter’s 10th birthday and our waitress, Alexandra, was so efficient and brilliant with all the kids. Drinks came promptly after we’d ordered and the whole service really exceeded our expectations, despite the restaurant being really busy. This is a really well managed branch of PE and I would definitely visit again.

Lovely service, been a while since been at Pizza express, forgot how much I like their spicy pizza with extra jalapenos!. Also restaurant is set in a beautiful building, dates from 16c!

Terrible customer service, left standing at the door while staff members walked past. The waitress had a severe attitude problem and had a look on her face that us being there was an inconvenience on her night. When paying the bill she disappeared half way through and was next seen in her coat saying good night to her team members and walking out the door to go home without a goodbye or knowing if anyone else would be coming to assist us.Not even the food was a redeeming feature as charged £12.95 for a non existent portion of pasta. When we questioned with one of the waiters he looked at us in shock as if he couldn't believe we would question it. Oh and plus the majority of the items on the menu they didn't seem to have.q
