Rose's Caribbean Cuisine in Watford

The food is better and taste more authentic than previous shop. I ordered stew chicken...it was so delicious and really good portion size with a bit of plantain in it...well done Kelly's! Keep up the good work, keep the portion sizes hearty, and authentic jamaican flavours. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Im so glad that this caribbean had opened up in watford. The price is so good for the quality of food you get here. I love curry goat and jerk and theres no better place in the whole area to get your Jamaican. The staff are brilliant, super friendly and everyone should try it!

So gutted that this place is under new management, the cooks have changed and the jerk chicken and coleslaw I was always so longing for are not as good. This jerk sauce is way too tangy and the coleslaw is too mushy and too sweet. If they could get the recipes from the previous owners I'd definitely come back, otherwise I'll have ro give it a pass. Wishing the new team good luck though, I am sure some people will like the food, but once you have tasted Rose's food, it's difficult to find better

I am not one to write a review, but I had to on my experience on this place. We used to come to Rose’s years ago when there was two ladies here and a lovely gentlemen who used to be so nice and polite. I am not to sure was has happened to this place now but my experience and food was just awful. I went here yesterday for the first time in a long time, and was very much looking forward to it.Firstly the lady who was serving needs to improve on her people skills and have some lessons in customer service, because it’s shocking. She is just so rude.Secondly, there was no steamed veg or plantain to go with the meal that cost me £25 (for 2 meals).Thirdly, my food was stone cold, so I gathered it wasn’t fresh. Not only was it cold, it tasted AWFUL. I don’t know what I was served, but it was not authentic brown stew chicken.Fourthly, me and my partner had a terrible bad stomach this morning, and we know it was caused by the food here.I will NEVER ever return here even if you paid me too.

Absolutely delicious meal I’ve just had. Really tasty and sizeable portion!!!See you again next week!

Have seen this place a few times on the way back from getting my haircut and decided to try it out for the first time today. I ordered the jerk chicken and Mac n cheese and it was beautiful !!! Highly recommend and I will definitely be back again ASAP !!

Tonight was the first night I've eaten here, I gotvthe mutton soup and BBQ chicken meal, it was absolutely delicious 😋 😍 😊 I would highly recommend people order from Rose's, I'm definitely going back 😋 😊.

Ordered a Caribbean lunch for a hen party last weekend. Communication with Theresa was great beforehand and the rice and peas, curried goat, curried veg and coleslaw was amazing. Great portions, fresh on collection and all the guests absolutely loved the food! Will be ordering again for my next party! Thank you guys!!

Food is Gorgeous! Travelling up from South London (Brixton area), this is the only take away shop I'll go to in Watford! The fried and bbq chicken is soft, juicy and tender. I 110% recommend. You can tell its all fresh and good quality, not over fatty or veiny. Good portion size for your money and I was served quickly every visit. The shop is a very clean and open space. Good music in the background for a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. And the customer service is polite and friendly. I never leave unsatisfied. I will be returning again soon no doubt! Thank you :)
